I decided to try this Braun Shaver after my previous Philishave rotary shaver required new heads and would not hold much charge in its batteries.

The first thing to say about this shaver is that it is not cheap at about #160. But for me it was worth every penny.

The most important aspect of any shaver is how well/close it shaves. It is the closest shave i have had from a dry shaver ever, almost baby smooth!! This is after just a few days of use, and Braun include a note in the package saying that men switching from rotary shavers may take two weeks to get best results, so things can only get better.

The next thing of importance to me is build quality, having owned two Philishaves previously which own really performed for two years at their best, it's too early to say how the Braun will compare, but it certainly looks and feels as though it is built better.

The 7570 model of this shaver is set apart from its siblings by an LCD screen which displays operation details. Such as the amount of charge left in the batteries, how long the charging time is when it is plugged in and the duration of your last shave. It even displays a smiley face when the battery is full!!

Also included in the box are a very nice leather style carrying case and the clean and charge system. The clean and charge system is a base station to drop the shaver into when not in use that as the name suggests cleans and charges the shaver. The cleaning system is fully automatic and uses a cartridge of cleaning fluid that is replaced each month. There is even a light to tell you when to change the cartridge. The cleaning cycle takes about 5-10 minutes and is a pretty impressive trick to show your friends!! The result is the shaver will feel brand new with each shave and it probably extends the longevity of the shaver as the cleaning fluid contains some lubricant to keep it in tip top condition constantly.
