As I have mentioned in previous reviews, one of my favourite brands of beauty products is Burt's Bees. This American brand is near the top of my list due to their ethics (they don't experiment on animals and they have a strong sustainability policy) and their use of natural ingredients, as well as the quality of their products. Every product I have used from them has been very effective, and this lip balm is no exception. Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm comes in a honey-coloured tube decorated with a honeycomb design and drawings of two bees, which is Burt's Bees logo. The tube is cute and attractive without being too girly. Plus it is made from 50% ... Read the complete review

I love lipbalm/lipsalve, and find it an invaluable item to keep in my handbag. I don't wear makeup, and I don't spend a fortune on skincare products, but I am fussy about what I use - once I find something I like, I will stick with it. That's the case with this product. I was given a "tester" pack of Burts Bees products for Christmas, most of them sample size but the Honey Lip Balm was full size. For years I've been using Nivea lip balms, and I'm often reluctant to try new ones as I've had some horrific experiences with some (Body Shop lip butters set my lips on fire...or that's what it feels like, it hurts so much). But I decided to be brave and ... Read the complete review

With birthday money to spend, and no one monitoring what I was spending it on, I found myself stood longingly in front of the Burt's Bees stand for longer than I will even admit to here. I was looking at everything and trying to decide what to buy. I decided to get the Head To Toe Starter kit, so that I could sample a bit of everything, although the contents of the kit were different to what the box implied (on the website though it does say the kit contents are subject to change at any time so I guess that's just tough luck!) One of the things in the kit was a full size lip balm. I already have the original Burt's Bees lip balm, in a tin form, and I have to ... Read the complete review

I have always been very pleased with how my Palmers lip balm has worked for me over the years, but when I received a Burts Bees honey one I decided to use it for a while to compare. Packaged in a dull yellow tube to represent the honey colour, the packaging is plastered with a honeycomb design to reflect the flavour. It comes in a standard tube with twist action and pull off lid. The packaging is basic but does the job of what a lip balm requires. The twist mechanism is placed right at the bottom of the tube on this product and this makes it fairly difficult to twist easily as it's quite a tiny area to work with. It would be better placed at the top of ... Read the complete review

The last thing I need, if I'm totally honest, is another lip balm. I have absolutely loads of the things - there are usually at least five floating around in the bottom of my handbag at any one time, not to mention several more dotted around my flat, so when I received a Honey lip balm in my Burt's Bees kit, I decided not to use it until all the others had been used up. Yeah, right. That plan lasted about two days, until the moment I was lying in bed and decided I urgently needed lip balm. My handbag was all the way in the sitting room, but my Burt's Bees lip balm was in a box, literally two paces from the bed - so my little resolution was promptly broken. The ...
