very drying skincare! (Christy Facial Express)

Advantages: excellent on oily patches

Disadvantages: Much too drying for most skin

Christy Facial Express is a 4 in 1 skincare treatment, claiming to remove make-up, cleanse, tone and moisturise in one application. I thought this sounded like an excellent idea, and started to use the Starfruit and Honeysuckle Mousse about two weeks ago. It is very pleasant and easy to use, requiring a simple application twice a day with cotton wool.

However, I have found it to be very drying and have reluctantly had to stop using it and give it to my teenage daughter. I thought that perhaps it was more suited to younger skin, and certainly the brightly coloured packaging looks as though the product might be more aimed at that age group.

On younger skin it has certainly helped with oily patches but is still too dry for the cheeks and eye area, and has caused some flaky patches. It is difficult to believe that there is any moisturising action going on, but I suppose it was too good to be true!
