At 15 my son rarely gets spots but has started suffering quite badly from deep blackheads and he has been using this for around two months now (if the truth be known so have I !)

This product comes in a blue tube with the words Clean & Clear at the top and product name underneath. It has a flip top lid for easy use - this helps ensures you dont squeeze out too much at a time. It can currently be bought for £3.27 for 145ml at Tesco.

It is more creamy than I anticipated and is white in colour apart from the beads which are blue.

Made by & Johnson it claims to work in two ways.

As a preventative with its "blackhead fighting ingredient" to help stop them from forming and by exfoliating your skin with the beads made from jojoba, breaking up trapped dirt,oil and dead skin cells.

It claims to be a product which is gentle and can therefore be used daily.

Ingredients :-

Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, PPG-15 Stearyl Ether, Polyethylene, Cera Microcristallina, Salicylic Acid, Steareth-21, Polysorbate 60, Jojoba Esters, Menthyl Lactate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Parfum, CI 77510

To use :-

Wet your face then squeeze a small amount ( i use about the size of 50p coin) into your hand and gently rmassage over your face for about half a minute. Rinse the scrub off thoroughly and dab with a towel until dry. Be careful to avoid getting this near your eyes or mouth and I do tend to massage more thoroughly round my nose area which is where I suffer blackheads the most.

This is not as harsh a scrub as I have used before and doesn't lather up very much but I certainly find my skin feels very soft after and a lot of blackheads were gone after the first use.

After using it daily and being much more free from blackheads I started using it twice a week - this seems to keep them under control to a degree so is cheaper than daily use.

I don't suffer from sensitive skin but my son does and he is only able to use it twice a week as using it daily was making him a little sore. I am not sure this acts as a preventative as after three days without using it they start creeping back but it works well at removing them and is not drying to the skin.

I would recomend trying this - everyones skin type varies but it certainly does the job for me.

4 stars as I feel the "preventative" claim is inaccurate.

Summary: As a remover of blackheads - works for me
