Advantages: Easy enough to use, prevents blocking of pores and congestion and is designed for sensitive skin
Disadvantages: Doesn't help banish existing spots
I always thought when I came out of my teens (very many years ago by the way!) I'd no longer have spots. I thought by the age I'm at now I'd be wrinkly and prune like BUT zit free. Well I'm happy to report I'm not like Mother Teresa yet but sadly I do suffer spots. I largely put them down to hormonal one's however I do suffer the occasional outburst of black heads too! Not a good look at almost 35 years of age and I'm embarrassed by them!
I do try alot of spot treatments out and the other day I saw this in my local Tesco store and it was on offer. Reduced from it's usual price tag of £1.83 a bottle I got my bottle for 85p! Pleased I was considering at the time I bought it I needed something as I had a right pizza face look going on and felt 15 all over again with my greasy complection!
The Packaging....
200ml light blue see-through plastic bottle with a flip top opening purple lid to the top of it concealing a small hole. On the front in white and dark blue writing I am told it is 'New' Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Cooling Lotion 'Cooling Effect' which 'Cools and cleanses for smaller pores and clear skin'. On the back of the bottle (this time all in white writing) I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use and cautions are given, ingredients are listed, contact details for Johnson & Johnson are given (the manufacturer of the product),the recycle symbol is displayed, size is stated and finally there is a bar-code on there. Simple packaging which looks functional and practical which gives as much information as you could possibly need as to whether you want to buy it and try it out!
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle....
New Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Cooling Lotion cleanses deep down to remove pore-clogging dirt, oil and make-up that can lead to spots. It also cools the skin whilst cleansing thanks to its breakthrough cooling technology, reducing the appearance of pores. Your skin is left clean, refreshed and beautifully clear.
How To Use It....
Apply cleansing lotion to a cotton pad and wipe over your face and neck. Also try Deep Cleansing Warming Scrub that warms the skin to cleanse and exfoliate deep down.
Me Using It....
Well I tried to use this light blue (slightly smelling of flower mixture) on a made up face and found it to be hard work due to it not being a cream/lotion or oily enough to lift my make-up. It doesn't remove waterproof mascara and I'd advise if removing make up to use your usual cleansing routine first and to use this after like a toner as it's far easier and less messy and you don't want to be scrubbing at your face with this stuff. However on a relatively clean face this in my view is fine to use alone.
I get a slight tingle where I have open pores and spots, it's like using a scented water and it's cooling and refreshing enough and fuss free to use.
It does remove visible grease and grime (even when you believe your skin is clean!) and I usually end up with quite a dirty cotton wool pad by the end of gently sweeping this over my face and neck.
Skin is left feeling clean, a little tighter (though not in a bad way) and soft.
However this for me doesn't eradicate existing spots. I think it does help to prevent them and is a good preventative treatment but as for helping remove existing spots nope it doesn't for me.... sadly! Since using this regularly (once or twice a day) I have found that my face has felt cleaner, fresher, firmer and less prone to spots. Do I love it? Well I could live without it in my life but it's ok and suitable for men or for women to use due to the fragrance I mentioned earlier wearing off almost as soon as you've finished using it!

I purchased mine in Tesco but it available in many outlets such as Boots and Superdrug.
Summary: Ok to use every day but don't expect miracles from it!
