Advantages: Lasts for a long time, cleanses really well, inexpensive.

Disadvantages: Doesn't clear up blackheads, makes my eyes water!

I first came across the Clean and Clear range about 13 years ago when I was at the tender age of 15. I had won a competition in a magazine and won a selection of Clean and Clear goodies, including the deep cleansing lotion as pictured above. I was so pleased with it, I still use it to this day. The lotion comes in two different types, for sensitive skin (the blue lotion) and for non-sensitive skin (an orange version) and I have always used the type for sensitive skin. It removes make up really well including waterproof mascara and it removes grease and oil from your skin, visible on the cotton wool pad you use to apply it. It has a pleasant smell and gives your skin a tingly feeling making you feel like it is getting down to work on your pores.

I don't find that it removes blackheads very well; there is a blackhead clearing lotion available from Clean and Clear but I haven't found that combats the evil little things either! However, for general skin cleansing, I really like it. My skin feels a little tight after use as it tightens up pores and my skin feels really clean. A bottle lasts for ages as you don't need to use a lot of it each day. I always use it at night before going to bed to remove make up and other left over debris! Take care when using it around your eyes as it does make your eyes water!

A good, reliable, reasonably priced product which cleanses facial skin well and leaves skin feeling smooth and soft. Just wish it would zap those blackheads once and for all!

Summary: A good, reliable cleanser which I've used for 13 years!
