This product actually changed the way I wash my face! (Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion (Sens))

Advantages: Quick and easy cleansing, fresh and non-sticky lotion

Disadvantages: smells a little medicinal at first

I'd seen this cleansing lotion on the shelves of Boots (and many other places) lots of times, but I'd never considered trying it before as I really like to wash my face 'properly' with a foaming cleanser and lots of water.

Whenever I go round to visit my nan, she invariably ends up giving me loads of stuff - things she never uses, or things she always uses and thinks everyone else should use too! Clean & Clear sensitive skin Deep Cleansing Lotion definitely belonged to the second category - she was absolutely raving about it and insisted I take a nearly-empty bottle home to try it out, as she'd already bought herself a new one.

I was sceptical at first, as I didn't think cleansing with a lotion could possibly make me feel clean and fresh enough, but I decided to give it a go.

I was SO impressed, that I immediately started using this as my regular cleanser, saving my foaming cleanser for when I'm in the shower. This stuff is really easy to use - just moisten a cotton wool pad with it and wipe over the face and neck. I usually repeat with the other side of the cotton pad, and SOMETIMES I do splash my face with cold water afterwards to wake me up even more, but I think that's just force of habit!

The lotion looks like blue-tinted water, and has a slightly medicinal smell at first (my boyfriend thinks it smells like gin!), but this soon disppears. It makes the skin tingle and does make it feel clean, fresh, and not at all greasy or sticky. I'm actually shocked by how much muck comes off onto the cotton wool pad when all I've been doing is lying in bed asleep (having cleansed before bed as well!).

Best of all, for me, is this is so quick and easy to use when I'm really tired and otherwise might have just gone to bed without washing my face (not that I'd ever do THAT, tee hee!).

Summary: A really good product, easy to use and leaves you feeling really clean
