Advantages: leaves skin clean, clear and really smooth

Disadvantages: can be drying for normal skins, skin sometimes feels tight after use

This product has been a staple in my bathroom for a number of years and I still really enjoy using it.

I normally use it about once a week for a great exfoliation and lovely deep-down clean feeling.

It always leaves my skin feeling really fresh and smooth. It definitely improves the appearance of skin as well - mine always looks much clearer after using it.

However, although it says on the packaging that it is suitable for daily use, I wouldn't recommend using it more than once a week unless you have very oily or spotty skin.

It can be quite drying for normal skins and I wouldn't recommend it at all for dry skins.

It's lovely to use once a week but you need to follow with a good moisturiser.

The product is great value as it costs £2.78 from Boots for 150ml but, as always, is even cheaper if you get it from Savers!

The packaging is very basic and quite 'young' - inoffensive but certainly not pretty or sophisticated.

Overall the product is great for evening out skin tone and combating spots and blackheads.

I like to use it on the 'morning after' when I have committed the deadly sin of sleeping with my make-up on! It instantly makes me feel better and perks my skin up.
