Advantages: Absorbes Oil

Disadvantages: Oil comes back soon afterwards

I have really oily skin. In the summer my skin is even oilier, especially by mid-afternoon. For me this is the worst part of the day, because not only does the shine of my oily skin make people notice you. But the oil makes your pores look huge. YUK!

Over the years I’ve used many beauty products to stop the oil. Anti-Shine powders, soaps and creams.

I received a free sample of Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing sheets, in one of my magazines.

So I thought I would give them a go. Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing sheets promise to move oil without the use of powder, which usually clog pores. They also promise not to smudge make-up.

The oil-absorbing sheets are thin and blue and made of a material like paper but its stretchy and flexible. The sheets are really thin and ended up taking two pieces out instead of one. So I went about my business blotting my forehead, chin, nose. When I looked at the blue sheet it had turned a funny transparent colour, where the oil had absorbed it. It looked gross but I was excited. Had it worked? I looked in the mirror the shine had actually gone and my make up had not rubbed of!

However, when I checked my face in an hour, my face was shiny again. So I blotted. Latter in the evening I went out and noticed some more shine. So I went into the ladies toilets and blotted away. But the blue stripes attracted quite a bit of attention and got a few strange looks.

The Clean & Clear Absorbing Oil sheets, definitely absorbs oil. But the effects are not long lasting. Usually you get pale pink or white blotting sheets so you can be discreet, the bright blue colour is too – attention grabbing.

The free sample was nice because I was able to try this product without spending any money. I have found other ways to keep my shine at bay without worrying too much about touch ups and people noticing when I’m trying to zap my oil.

Like i said before I got these free. But t
o buy I think there priced around £3.00
