Advantages: Refreshing, skin feels really clean, Uni-Sex, Your never too old
Disadvantages: Non so far
It's just not fair, 42 and still getting spots! How unfair is that?, I sailed through my teens without any, I guess it's a hormone thing. Whatever it is, I want rid of them, and quick. I use foaming face cloth's but with my recent outbreak I felt I needed a change. So off I went to Tesco, my nearest shop. They had loads on sale, so I spent a while browsing, reading all the labels. Some where really expensive, but I noticed they all contain more or less the same, do the same, but vary in price a great deal. I had by-passed this clean and clear range, thinking that maybe my skin was too old. But 'hey ',I thought, If I'm still of an age to get spots, then my skin is young enough to use it, and besides, my son is suddenly realising that girls like him more if he washes ( He's 12) so he can use it too. At £2.49 it's got to be worth a try. I'm a stickler for taking things back if they don't work, so I had nothing to lose. The tube is quite large, holds 150ml, and made from tough but soft plastic, a bit like some toothpaste tubes. The cream (wash) is very thick and creamy with a luxurious feel to it,and has a pearl appearance. I wet my face with warm water, squeezed out a tiny pea size blob onto my hands and gently massaged it into to my face. I discovered at this point that a tiny bit goes a long way. It foams up really well. I then rinsed it off with warm clean water, OH MY GOODNESS! WOW! how refreshing it felt. Like a cool breeze had just gently swept accoss my face, it really woke my face up, my face is left feeling so clean fresh, and nice and soft. I have been using Clean and Clear for a few weeks now, my spots went within a few days, and wey hay! they haven't come back. (And who are those little girlies who keep calling for my son ?,"off you go before I tell your mum, I know where she lives"...lol) I use it twice per day ( a
s does my son, most days) and there is still loads left in the tube, I think I have used about a quarter of it. So it's cost effective as well as doing everything I wanted it to and more, because my skin looks and feels so much better. My worries of it drying out my 'mature' skin have proved to be un-neccessary.I still, as always follow with my usual moisturiser. I think it cleared my outbreak because it is oil free, anti bacterial and cleanes deep down into the pores on your skin. Here comes the ingredients, for those of you that want/need to know these things. Aqua (water to me and you) Cetyl Alcohol,PPG-15 Stearyl, Stearyl Acid, Polysorbate 60, Steareth 21, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Menthol (that's what makes your skin feel invigorated and cool) Disodium Edta, Parfum (This gives it it's nice smell) It's distributed by good old Johnson & Johnson in Maidenhead and Dublin, and made in the E.U. At around £2.40 ( more or less, depends on the shop/store at the time) it is so worth the money. A bargain, and you guys can use it too.
