Since my first spot as a teenager I have used various face washes, this is the one that I have stuck to for the longest. I have always found that facewashes are a little on the pricey side, this type of Clearasil retails at around £4, however boots and Tesco's both often have offers on such as by one get one free or buy one get on half price. You use by first wetting your face, then place some face wash (about the size of 20p) , then scrub your face. I generally work on the areas most affected by black heads, the nose and chin. I didn't like this product very much. I have used Clearasil items before, but not their scrubs and this one seemed to give me a reaction. I have quite sensitive skin. which is prone to bouts of bad acne and this seemed to inflame it further. Although the blackheads reduced slightly my skin was very red and itchy after using this for literally 2 days, and I suddenly got more spots than I had before. I did make sure that I was following the instructions and left the scrub on for well under a minute, rinsed it off and patted it dry very gently. When I was a kid at school in my teens, looking back I realise how the cosmetic industry etc has changed. The makers of this product I'm about to review has been around about 18 years and I know this cos all the kids at school used it and I don't remember any other options being around at the time. Myself, although I suffered from spots and blackheads badly back then I don't remember my Mother getting it more than once for me so I reckon it was just that I wasn't that impressed.
