Advantages: Attacks existing spots straight away.

Disadvantages: Dries the skin, arguably causes more spots and smells like dettol

First and foremost I have always had incredibly sensitive skin suffering with the occasional outbreak of acne on my face and contact eczema on my hands. Every now and then I'm prone to the odd spot and when I saw the advert for this product I figured I would give it ago particularly since it lures you in with its very clinical packaging that almost looks prescribed.

The product promises you visibly clearer spot free skin with in around three days and it's a shame it doesn't offer you your money back if it doesn't live up to the expectation. First off the lotion is fiddly and time consuming to apply , it is also of a very watery consistency so if you're in a rush you are liable to get at least £1.50's worth straight down your nice clean top.

The lotion works on the basis that the less oily the skin is, the less likely you are to produce unwanted spots and condones. After the first days use I noticed that whilst the spot had dried up fast so had the rest of my face leaving it virtually impossible to apply any form of foundation. Yes at first the spots appear to heal faster but the simple fact is that striping the skin of its essential oils ultimately has the reverse effect by making the body produce more oil in order to compensate for the loss. By about the fourth or fifth day I ended up with a massive outbreak and dry blotchy skin to match. The only real effective way to maintain healthy skin is with a skin care regime of cleansing, toning and moisturising , should the acne that you have be of the stubborn kind then you're probably better off consulting your doctor with a view to trying out some of the medicated lotions like Duac which contains benzel peroxide that is highly effective at controlling acne at its outbreaks.

Summary: A total waste of money.
