Advantages: Works well, Smells nice, Easy to use, Lasts long, refreshing

Disadvantages: A bit pricey, and stings your face a bit (but invigorating)

Well, after my very painful and burning of my face with the Clearasil Ultra Treatment pads that were full of alcohol and acids, I went out to find something better. Straight when I saw this liquid wash, I knew although it was in the same range, it couldn't possibly burn my face at all. I was right. It has a lovely smell, very sweet and is smooth and invigorating to use and does an excellent job.

It comes in a 200ml container, which is transparent. There is a label on the front, which is shiny blue and purple with the Clearasil Ultra logo at the top. Below, it says that it is a deep pore treatment wash. It also mentions that it will give you visibly clearer skin within 3 days of using it. Turning it around, there is another label. This features what the product does, so you can see if this product is suitable for you. It also gives an explanation of how it works and what it does. Other information on the back includes the contact address, website (www.clearasil.com) and contact details. This product is clinically proven with the logo on the back, and I approve of it too. The back label can be peeled away to reveal more information on the product including the ingredients

On the top is a lid with a button on top like a soap dispenser - it is a dispenser really. The white button is simply pressed easily to apply a small amount to your hands. This is easy to use, and works perfectly and quickly by a simple press, rather than un screwing anything or opening a lid, and squeezing out the stuff.

As for the gel itself, it has a thick texture to start with, but mine has been in the shower the whole time, so water has got in to it. If you don't wish this to happen, then place it away from the shower. The liquid has a light turquoise colour to it, and is translucent (you can partially see through it). It has no visible particles in it like some facial wash products may have, which are said to be good for your skin. However, it definitely contains all the ingredients needed to do the job well and smoothly.

Smell
~~~~
It has a gorgeous smell to it. The ingredients state that it is perfumed, so this is perhaps where the smell comes from. It has a very sweet smell and relaxing smell to it, making it a pleasure to use and I have become increasingly addicted to the smell when it's applied to my face.
Usage
To use, twist the top button to unlock it. Now, apply a small amount to wet hands by pressing down on the button. Rub your hands together thoroughly to make sure it is all bubbly like a foam. It is best to apply it to a wet face as well, so apply it and massage it in rubbing in small circles, being careful of the eye area. Leave it to soak in for 30 seconds, it won't take long. Once done, rinse off with warm water and dry your face.
It is a pleasure to use because of it's lovely smell and pleasant texture. It does give your face a slight stinging sensation, but this is just the product at work. It is no where near as bad as the treatment pads that I used, which contained alcohol and literally burnt my face off... This product contains no alcohol, but it does contain the acids and other chemicals to do the job. The stinging sensation makes you feel invigorated and refreshed at the same time, so it is great for morning use to wake you up. You should use this twice a day to keep spots away and for quickest relief of spots - once in the morning and once in the evening. I find it best to use it when I shower in the evening and have a wash in the morning.
In most supermarkets and pharmacies, you can buy this product for £4.29. It comes in a 200ml container, and lasts a good duration. Mine has lasted me over a month already, and I have been using it on quite a regular basis (not every day though, because I haven't needed it). If you want to prevent spots rather than make them go, then it works well as it will act immediately on bacteria where spots start to form. The price isn't bad, as it works very well and is easy and pleasant to use compared to other products.
I would recommend this product to people, but do expect a slight sting when you apply it to your face. Keep your eyes tightly shut, as you wouldn't want this in your eye. It is very easy to use by simply pressing down on the dispenser to apply a small amount to wet hands. It has an adorable sweet scent to it, which makes it a delight when applied to your face. It leaves you not only with great skin, but feeling invigorated and refreshed and it really wakes you up in the mornings when used!
