Advantages: Does it's job

After seeing so many adverts for Clearasil on TV, and being fed up of the occasional break-out, I decided to invest in the Clearasil treatment.

I had a shop around and found it on offer in Superdrug, buy one get one free. It's usually around £4 for a 250ml bottle usually, which i feel is quite pricey, considering you're using it twice a day it can depleat quite quickly. So I'd definately advise shopping round, or only buyingit when it's on offer -especially if you're also going to use more products from the range.

The instructions are to use it on your face both morning and evening, and you notice a visable difference in your skin. The bottle has a pump action lid which is handy for quick access and saves you having to flip up a top when you're getting ready in a hurry. 1, maybe 2 pumps usually gives out the right amount to use on your face, and it lathers up nicely over your skin. It's smells like a typical Clearasil product, quite fresh, but with chemical-y undertones, and you can tell it's going to be quite strong, and possibly harsh on your skin.

I used this twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Over time, around a week, I did notice an improvement in my skin - enough to justify using something like this, but it was longer than the 3-days promised. There probably was a difference after 3 days, but not enough to justify using such an expensive type of product, as it gets used up reasonably quickly.


I wouldn't advise using this product on it's own, and I think to benefit the most you need to use it with other products from the same range. But it's great for anyone who is prone to outbreaks and spots, as it genuinely does work. Although, it can work out rather pricey if you can't find it on offer, so I'd advise shopping around for it if you can!

Summary: A good product if you're prone to break-outs, but I wouldn't use it otherwise.
