Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Wash

Introduction

After trying many products to clear up my skin I thought I would give into the Clearasil brand and give this a go. I thought that £4.99 was a lot of money for this product but its claim - 'clearer a skin in 3 days' did reassure me that it could be worth it.


The Product

The product does immediately stand out from the other skin care products on the shelf. It is packaged in a clear container with bright blue packaging with the Clearasil brand clearly labeled on it. It uses a pump mechanism which is to be honest a lot better than a lot of the other products which contain a flip style lid. Mainly because you don't find that the rim of the bottle gets as messy. I also like the fact that the product contained a clear bottle as you can then clearly see how much is left inside.


Using the Product

When I initially used this product i found that my face got extremely tight and remained that way for at least 30 minutes. I applied the product following the instructions: wet your face with Luke warm water and then add a bit of the solution into the palm of your hand and then apply to your face. I was concerned with this factor initially but kept using it because of its claim.

The next day when I applied it I had this same tightness in my skin from using it even though i applied less than I did the day before. However its 3 day claim does keep me going.

The third day of using this product I did notice that my skin was a bit clearer however I suffered a large amount of dryness of the product causing me to use a vast amount of moisturizer to fight its affects.

A week later i noticed I was on the same stages as I had been on the third day. It was clearer than the start and I did not have any more new spots but the amount that this product dried up my skin made me feel very worried about what was actually in this solution.


Evaluation

A month later after using this product twice a day I decided that it was not right for me. I did not have really bad skin but i felt that it was not making much of an improvement than the products that I was using before especially since they were a lot kinder to my skin. However I have read great stories about this product but I think that the way it dries up my skin is not worth it considering it only slightly improves your skins appearance.

Summary: It helped prevent new spots but rapidly dries up my skin and doesnt feel that pleasent when using
