Summer is coming to Germany. So is my boyfriend. Darn. Two very necessary reasons to start moisturizing again. I was in Minimal a while back (a local supermarket whose name really should be “Slightly larger than average shop”) and came across their body lotion aisle. My trolley didn’t contain any treats up until that point, just the normal chocolate rations and pasta / bread / juice / water staples, so I decided I may as well buy myself something to play with that night. I was brought a Dove gift pack by my nan for while I was at uni. However at first it stayed in my wardrobe because I hadn't used Dove before, plus the cosmetics my nan buys are very erm... old person-y. However on one particularly cold day I wanted a bath and had run out of bubble bath until I remembered about this one in my wardrobe. So I opened the packet and I thought it smelt quite nice so I used it. After that I opened the moisturiser that came with it. The body moisturiser is quite greasy, however I need the greasyness of it to stop my skin being so dry. Dove Body Silk is a fantastic moituriser which is far more luxurious than your bog standard body lotion. It's very thick and creamy, and seems to melt into your skin like ice cream rather than being thin and runny like a lot of lotions on the market. It comes in a tub, as opposed to a bottle, so you scoop out the contents, which I think is fab! The packagine of Dove Body Silk is, like the rest of the range, simple but stylish. The 300ml tub is curved, made of white plastic with the familiar 'Dove' logo in blue italics. It also carried a picture of a gold dove, which I like is quie classy!
