Advantages: Smooth creamy texture, good price, generous package, moisturises dry skin very well
Disadvantages: None
I was looking for a face cream not too long ago - I tend to have dry skin on my forehead and this is partly to do with my rigorous facial cleansing regime:) and due to my dry facial skin type...
Went to Superdrug at the time and they had all sorts of facial moisturisers. The ones that I thought had a good price, I found were in a rather smaller package considering they're meant for everyday use, then the ones in the bigger packages were not within my budget at the time..
Then I saw they had this Dove Rich Moisturising Cream which I had never heard of before and it seemed like a new product at the time. It was about £2.something then..
Had tried other Dove products that I found very effective (for smooth soft skin) like the bar soap which I mainly use for the face, the body wash and the effective deodorants all of which I still use; thought I should try this one out too as it was in a rather generous package for face cream which is what I intended to use it for.
The product comes in a round easy to open plastic packaging which was rather light for the amount of product in it and that means you can carry it around easily in your handbag too if you wished to use it as a hand cream too..
I found the cream was very rich and smooth, it's white in colour with a silky creamy texture to it. It's got a lovely scent which is slightly sweet and yet remains subtle once on the skin. It's easily absorbed into the skin once you rub and smooth it in.
In my opinion, it is a very good product for dry skin making it smooth and supple and yet leaving no grease behind.
I found it easy to apply make-up to my face after applying this cream as it sorted out the dryness and flakes and left no shine. I also started using it on my hands to keep them moist after washing.
The cream was long-lasting as you do not have to use too much cream and only need a small amount to cover your face or hands and you can apply more generous amounts if you wish to the rest of the body.
I would recommend the product for those with dry skin, those looking for a moisturing cream, a body cream or a good face cream or as an alternative to lotion or vaseline, it's great value...
