Elemis Absolute Day Cream

This day cream is said to be the best seller in the Elemis range. I have dry skin in the winter and normal/combination in the summer. So I decided to try both the ‘normal to dry’ and the ‘normal to combination’ absolute day cream. Both of which are part of a set of skincare put together by the people at QVC (where I’m a regular customer). The first thing I usually do is read the ingredient list. The active ingredients are octyl methoxycinnamate (sunscreen known to diminish discolourations such as pigmentation), and avobenzone (UVA sunscreen). This heavenly-smelling cream is one of my all-time favourite day creams. I have nornmal skin that's oilier in summer and pretty dry at the worst of winter, and this is something that I can use all the time, whatever effect I'm after. It's a very light pure white cream, which comes in a generous 50ml tube that lasts me the best part of a year. As well as essential oils, there's a herbal base and the cream also wears very well indeed underneath make-up. I've tried literally hundreds of face creams and this is definitely one of the nicest on the market today. The smell is absoluetly gorgeous; it goes on easily and smoothly; it's suitable for all but the driest or oiliest skins and it makes a great base for make-up! It's also very gentle with all natural ingredients, including that fantastic fragrance. I don't really know what else one could ask - except, of course, being Elemis there's no animal ingredients or testing. ...
