During my pregnancy my skin was all over the place and that did nothing for my confidence on those beached whale days! I had been using Clinique products but they were just not clearing up my skin and if anything were making it worse. I did some browsing on the internet and read some good reviews about Elemis products so I went to the timetospa website. On there was an opportunity to get an online skin consultation through an instant messenger system. I gave it a go, the whole consultation took about 20 minutes so not something to do it you are in a rush. The toner she recommended to me to soothe my skin was the balancing lavender toner. The toner is ... Read the complete review

Toners are one of my favourite beauty products and this one from Elemis is one I often turn to in the summer when my skin's rather oily. It's suitable for a wide range of skin-types though - except, perhaps, very dry. I like this because of its actual toning action - skin feels very fresh afterwards, but, quite unusually, this isn't achieved by the inclusion of alcohol. It has a lovely light and fresh fragrance too, which doesn't actually smell a great deal of lavender. I use this in conjunction with the Absolute Day cream and Lime Blossom cleanser. ... I know that's not what you're meant to do with a toner, but there's something so light and refreshing about this that I actually keep some on my desk and splash it on my arms when I get that 'office-stained' feeling in the middle of a long day. I also use this almost all the time as my toner, having been converted some years ago by a lovely salon facial I won in a competition. I wasn't used to spending so much on skincare, but this light green liquid really seemed to make my skin feel very clean and fresh without being drying. I'd very much recommend it to anyone with oilier skin who doesn't want to use harsh ... Read the complete review

Some people find the smell of lavender calming and soothing while to others, it can be quite overpowering. I am the latter. Therefore, to have the smell of lavender essential oil in a toner, is just not my cup of tea. I understand that lavender provides a lot of skincare benefits that makes it a popular ingredient choice for most cosmetics companies, not to mention the fact that lavender oil is cheap. Fortunately for this product, Elemis used natural lavender oils and extracts instead of synthetic perfumes, along with some other goodies like extracts of Sweet Betty and Quillaja Wood (helps to balance the skin’s pH level), thereby making the smell bearable. ... TO ME TONER IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEMS OF SKINCARE AS IT REMOVES THE LAST TRACES OF CLEANSER AND PUTS WATER IN THE SKIN TO HYDRATE,BUT THIS ONE DOES SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT. IT IS PROBABLY THE MOST HEALING TONER IVE USED ESPECIALLY AS I USED TO HAVE ACNE NOT ANYMORE THOUGH. THE SMELL IS LIKE IVE DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN IT IS JUST SO RELAXING I COULD BATH IN IT ! DONT BE PUT OFF IF YOUVE GOT DRY OR SENSITIVE SKIN BECAUSE YOU CAN USE IT TOO. BECAUSE IT DOESNT CONTAIN ANY ALCOHOL IT ISNT HARSH ON THE SKIN BUT IS QUITE SOOTHING.PLUS ALL SKIN NEEDS REBALANCING SOME TIME BECAUSE OF THE MENSTRUAL CYCLE,PREGNANCY,THE MENOPAUSE OR JUST ...
