About the product
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elemis Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow is a luxurious Salt scrub, full of essential oils, which while exfoliating your skin, also moisturises it.
The Salt Scrub has three active ingredients:
Invigorating ginger that stimulates the bodys circulation and metabolism whilst also toning the body, so it is great for using on particularly tough areas that have sluggish circulation or cellulite.
Lime peel that cleanses and purifys the skin.
Sea Salt that exfoliates and remineralises the skin, helping your skin regain smoothness and a radiant, healthy appearance.
Why I brought the product
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Whilst I was having a lovely Elemis facial at a spa, the therapist offered me a complimentary body scrub, now who am I to say no to a freebie!so of course I agreeded. The therapist started by warming my body and opening my pores by placing warm towels on my body, this was lovely. Then as my skin was warmed and now damp, she massaged Elemis Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow into my body, before removing with damp yet warm towels. The feel on my body after was amazing, it was so soft and smoothe, and the experience was so relaxing. I just had to get myself some!

What the product looks like
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elemis Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow comes in a beautiful deep red pot with a silver scew lid. It looks really professional, stylish and like a real expensive spa treat.
Smell & Texture
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I personally hate ginger, the smell and the taste of it, so wasn't too sure when I brought this product. But I was pleasantly suprised, it smells nothing like ginger, to be fair it also doesn't smell much like lime either. The smell that comes through is the essential oils especially jojoba. It smells really relaxing and invigorating.

The texture is lovely, the pot is full with salt crystals coated in quite a thick mixture of essential oils and goodies, therefore making the product lovely and moisturising and making sure the salt crystals are not too abrasive on the skin. Elemis have got the textures just right, theres not too much of the crystals or the oil, so they work perfectly together and really compliment each other.

Why exfoliate
~~~~~~~~~~~~
An essential step in a skin care program is exfoliation. Exfoliating smoothes away dead skin cells, prevents clogged pores and reveals a layer of fresh new cells. Regular exfoliating is the secret to a radiant and healthy complexion.
Effects on the skin
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A simple, quick application in the shower keeps your skin looking refreshed and feeling invigorated. I would recommened that you use this product at least twice a week, it can even be used daily if you desire.

It doesn't dry out your skin or have an overly oily texture, but instead has just enough moisture to give your skin and remove dead skin cells. The moisturising content means you do not have to moisturise after, which is a godsend after getting out the shower. Your skin feels, soft, smooth, silky and moisturised - just like velvet!

It doesn't irritate your skin, althought it has sea salt in, it doesn't feel too harsh or abrasive on your skin due to the essential oil content. You can certainly feel the grains in it but they do not scratch your skin or cause any discomfort. Although it doesn't irriate your skin, it still exfoliates well and really makes a difference, this product works like a gem.

The scrub rubs into your skin easily and without effort and also washes off very easily without you having to try and rub it off.
Great to use of problem areas such as knees, elbows and feet that are prone to dryness and tend to get neglected.

It is always recommended that you exfoliate before self tanning otherwise the tan goes patchy and gets in all your dry skin, exfoliating removes the dead skin cells leaving you with a soft, smooth skin for the tan to look better on.

This product is a truly luxorious treat and when you're using it you feel special and pamper - it really is a lovely product to own.

Do not wax or shave 24 hours after use, as it may irritate your skin.

Who it is recommended for
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This scrub is great for all skin types, especially dry. Not recommended for use while pregnant or breast feeding due to the content of essential oils. Also do not use on freshly shaved skin or open wounds.
Price and Availability
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As the product was quite expensive I did not purchase the scrub from the spa, I decided to search on the internet when I got home for a cheaper bargain. The best price I found was on Ebay fo £16, alot cheaper than £34 for 410g that everywhere else charges. The product can be brought on many internet websites or from an offical Elemis stockist. It does not seem difficult to find, or is rarely out of stock. You can also purchase 150g tubs for £15 but these are hard to come across.

It is quite expensive so I tend to use it more as a treat tha an evey day exfoliator but a small amount goes a long way so I think the value for money is incredible.
