Advantages: Lovely smell, very trendy

Disadvantages: Cost - and it's time-consuming

It's all over the beauty pages, and is apparently used by the rich and famous... I had to find out what all the fuss was about!

After paying nearly forty pounds for a plastic pot full of unpromising greeny gunk, and a muslin cloth, I wondered if I'd been had! But the gunk actually smells lovely, it reminds me of Christmas which must be because of the cloves which are a prime ingredient.

You only have to use it once a day, which is just as well as it's rather an elaborate process, involving smearing the cleanser on, stimulating various pressure points, then using the cloth with hot water three times, and finally with cold water to close the pores.

So far - about three weeks in - it does seem pretty effective, my skin is nice and smooth and there have been no break-outs or other ill-effects. Is it worth the money? Not sure.. I haven't yet won a part in a Hollywood movie... but at least my bathroom shelf has star quality!
