Are eye creams essential?

I would say yes for both men and women. I've always wanted to try an eye cream and started using one after a fiend advised me.
There were many reasons why i had to use one..
Firstly, because I used to wake up with puffy eyes every morning, and the second reason was because my eyes were always strained from using the computer most of the day or whenever i found time..
Another reason was age, i feel that the eyes really tend to show age. It seems pretty obvious why once you think about it,as one grows older the skin around the eye stretches and fine lines start appearing and if proper care is not taken, dark circles and bags appear beneath the eyes.So the earlier one starts taking care the better..and one needs to use a cream made especially for your eyes. The skin there is different and may not respond well to the moisturizer you use on the rest of your face or your body.And a good eye cream works on both wrinkles, and dark circles. They also reduce puffiness around the eyes.Wrinkles and dark circles around the eyes don't just go away by themselves, they need special care.

I feel that a little bit of eye massage done daily round the eye helps me relieve the stress quite a bit.And then i apply an under eye cream which has really helped me.Initially i kept experimenting with many creams , but later i felt that the best among the ones that i had used was Cellex-C G.L.A. Eye Balm .It is on the expensive side ($60) but you need to use very little at a time and it it lasts very long, 3 months at least,..

It is not greasy and according to the user manual it should not be used at night before going to bed. It says that using at bed time can contribute to fluid retention and puffy eyelids. So it is recommended that one should use it only as part of the morning routine.

I have been using this since 4 months now and i find excellent results with this.The skin has become smoother and i used to have irritation earlier after using the computer for long periods.
That has completely gone now.

Eye creams need to be used properly according to a beautician friend of mine.She told me in fact to use it at night, but the Eye cream manufacturers say that it has to be used only during day time.However she did show me how to apply it without stretching the skin around the eyes and that was very helpful and the eye massage which if done regularly is great for one's eyes.Just a couple of minutes while washing your face is more than sufficient..

I used to use the cream a night, but once i read the instructions i changed over to using during the day time.I feel that it has helped me a lot and regular use of any good eye cream gives wonderful results..
