... washing. Shame, I really wanted it to work!!! Had seen the TV adverts a while back. Think price is OK, not too expensive. Just didn't seem to do the job on me personally. Think it depends on the type of spots you have. I have lots in my t-zone and a few on my neck. Maybe if your skin is less spotty it works better, but I don't reckon. It's certainly not going to have a positive effect on people with serious skin problems!!!!! It's not too expensive, but I would only recommend it to those who have minor problems. ...more

Premium Review Freederm gel: Spots that disappear over night (535 words)

I really wanted a spot treatment that would actually work instead of hyping up to massive claims and miserably failing! I was in Boots one day when I noticed this behind the pharmacist counter, going out that evening and having a few spots I decided to try it, I bought the Freederm gel in the 25g tube. The product: The product is basically a spot treatment gel. It is an anti-inflammatory treatment for mild to moderate acne. Now, I don't have acne but when all else fails I thought I'd give it ago and some friends I know had also reccomended it to me just as there normal 'spot cream' The range: Freederm has a smallish size range of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Freederm did not give me freedom from spots (471 words)

Proof that life is unfair, I appear to be Benjamin Buttoning - I had clear blemish free skin as a teenager and then when I hit 26 it all changed. I suffered from breakouts to rival any acne ridden thirteen year old and although its calmed a lot since then, when I get them oh boy do I get them! The problem with spots for me is that there are many products to dry out your spots but they dry out your skin at the same time. The result being that the spots have gone but in their place are scabby dry marks which are impossible to cover up. I saw a TV advert for Freederm and was intrigued because the gel contains a unique active ingredient called ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Freederm gel: Freederm, perhaps not so free.. (933 words)

Now I know for the majority of us, at one point of another in our lives we have been plagued by those little blighters we call spots - and usually no matter how hard you try they won't disappear! I cannot remember in the past there being so many spot treatments around as there are now, I'm sure they are all just a similar product in a different tube! However (I include myself in this) some go from product to product trying to find that one tube of goodness that gives us a nice clear face.. However I have yet to find the right tube, and I'm fast running out of things to try! So I saw this in Boots reduced and thought I'd give it a go.. ~*~ What Is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Spot Be Gone (297 words)

Having suffered from acne since my early teens (still do and im nearly 22) I tried everything from clearisal (sic) to doctor prescribed medicines which just didn't seem to work, infact they dried my skin out and made it appear worse. As you can imagine the state of my skin (once compared to as a peporoni pizza!!) got me quite down. I started college at 17 and found someone with skin possibly worse than mine, then over the next few weeks it started to improve. I had to ask what they were using. They told me that they were using freederm gel. I immediatley went out and bought some. At £9 ish a tube it isn't cheap but at that point I would have tried anything. I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Freederm gel: PRICY, BUT WORTH IT (277 words)
by - written on 14/01/09 (Very useful, 184 readings)

I have always had bad skin and would have thought I would have passed the teenage bad skin phase years ago, but unfortunately I haven't. I've been using Clean and Clear toning lotion for years as that seems to keep my skin ok, and I find products such as Clearasil too harsh and they can make my face seem red and rashed looking. The product Freederm has been getting promoted on the TV for years now and I though it was worth a shot. It is expensive at £8.95 for a 30ml tube, but it claims to work, so does it? Although it says it is a gel, it seems a little creamier than a normal gel. You use this twice a day, once in the morning and once at night and ...  Read the complete review
