I'm not really one for trying new hand and body lotions because once I've found something I like I tend to stick to it. However Garnier happened to send me a sample sachet of their body cocoon moisture lotion just at a point in time where my normal body lotion had run out and I'd not been out to buy any more. It was very good timing on their part!

I tore the top off the sachet to use it because the skin on my legs was very dry and needed something if I wasn't going to cover them up completely. I have to say initially I thought the lotion felt a bit sticky, and quite runny, but then the next thing to hit me was the smell. It's quite a strong smell, but not unpleasent, reminds me of apricots in a vague sort of way.

Now, bearing in mind that normally I use a lotion which is made by lavera who some of you may know do products which are naturall based not chemical based, I wasn't really expecting too much of this garnier product. I expected to be left feeling coated and I have to say I was quite pleasently surprised. The lotion went on smoothly, it was quite a greasy feel while it was being applied and it did take a reasonable amount of rubbing in before it stopped feeling like that, but once it had been rubbed in the overall look and feel was impressive.

My skin looked smoother and softer, and where I rubbed the last bit into the back of my hand it did leave the skin remarkably more elastic too.

I don't know that I'd want to buy this on a regular basis because it is full of a lot of chemicals and I'm not overly keen on putting them on my skin, but if you're not fussed about using natural products then I'd definitely say give this a look as it does work really well.

Summary: A good body lotion if you're not looking for something natural.
