Garnier clean detox
With winter rearing its ever uglier head my skin tends to dry out and look less than radiant; at this stage I tend to become more become more rigid in my beauty regime and like to properly exfoliate,

~~Who is it for?~~

This one is apparently for people with normal skin, which seems a good thing because I believe it will be a bit "middle of the road". It is suggested that it's for people who feel that their complexion has become dull because of the impurities accumulating on its surfaces every day- indeed, this is me!

It apparently does all of this detoxifying because it has an anti oxidant and also Vitamin E. Along with these there are small particles to purify pores.

~~Product and Packaging~~

The product comes in a plastic tube/bottle with a flip up to open lid. Very bright and instantly recognisable, all information is on the back.

Open the lid and squeeze a bit of the product out, and I can see the small blue particles in amongst the white cream. The smell itself is quite fruity and very pleasant.

~~Using it~~

It is recommended that to really let your skin breath freely, the product is used every day. The directions tell me that I should wet my face and apply a hazel nut sized portion of the exfoliator. The, it's a case of just massaging gently in circular motions, paying special attention to chin nose and forehead. The eye area should be avoided, and when enough of a massage has taken place, then the product should be rinsed off with cold water (yuck!).

~~Price and Availability~~

Easily available from supermarkets and chemists, RRP is £4.99, although it is being sold for half this at superdrug.

~~Verdict~~

One thing which confused me was whether to use this before or after the removal of make up, as there is no indication on the instructions. So, undeterred, I have tried both, and have found that it is definitely better used on a clean face. So, I cleanse my face and apply the product as directed, and it really does just need a small amount, because a little does go a long way. The cream is easy to work into the skin, and whilst I can definitely feel those little particles, they are not at all abrasive, and I don't have a bright red sore looking face when the cream is rinsed off (with warm water- I can't do the cold thing).

Having used it for a few weeks, my skin does definitely feel cleaner, and smoother. It is quite moisturising, and I have not noticed any drying out of my skin, so this is a product I would use again.

For the price, I would recommend this for anyone wanting a non abrasive gentle exfoliator.

Thanks for reading.
