Advantages: Work ok if you try to make them work!

Disadvantages: Lots!

Due to Garnier make-up removing wipes being reduced to £1.32 a pack (at the moment and in Sainsbury's) opposed to usually £2.60 a pack I've been stocking up and trying them out! I don't use make-up removing wipes alot but find them handy when staying away from home or when I'm too drunk to mess about with cleansers and toners and things like that! Usually though I do prefer a deep down clean which I've never really felt I've ever got simply by using a wipe. However I would love to find something relatively easy and economical to use in this area and with the warm weather we have at the moment I find I'm daring to go naked (without make-up I mean lol) and like something in my bag to wipe my face with on the move and with no fuss! So I grabbed a packet of these as I said the other day.

The Packaging....

White and light green oblong plastic packet with a clear resealable flap to the middle of it you pull the wipe from. On the front in green and grey writing I'm told they are Garnier 'Skin Natural' Clean & Fresh Complete Cleansing Wipes which remove make-up, tone and purify and contain fruit extracts and are for the face and eyes and are suitable for normal & combination skin and are dermatologically tested. On the back of the packet I'm told a bit about the product and how they work as well as being given instructions on how to use them, ingredients are listed and I'm told there are 25 wipes in the packet, they are recyclable, contact details for Garnier are given and finally there is a bar-code on there. Nice enough packaging and I do like the way that they are easy to open and close!

Yes if you want a way of cleansing your skin that is effective, easy and lets your skin breath freely. These wipes replace 3 products - milk, toner and cotton wool - for really convenient make-up removal.

How Do They Work?...

The gentle formula contains fruit extract and is perfectly suited to normal and combination skins. It refreshes and removes even long last lasting make-up. The formula is enriched with hydrating agents to leave skin feeling clean & fresh.

How Do I Use It....

Lift the adhesive panel. Remove a wipe and cleanse your face. No need to rinse. Re-seal the adhesive panel straight away to prevent the wipes from drying out.

Me Using Them....

The wipe itself is pure white in colour and the cloth is thick enough though not mega thick (you can't see through it though). It is soft and damp in consistency and smells light and fresh of gentle fruity oils that in my view if a man wanted to use these that's fine!

Now I find these great on wiping a relatively clean face with little or no make-up on as they aren't all that moist. They do lift off most grease, grime etc visibly onto the cloth and in my view one cloth is enough when used in this manner. However they struggle with alot of make up particularly waterproof mascara etc. I get through 4-5 wipes going through this process making these not only cost ineffective but I find my face getting sore for all the hard work I need to apply scrubbing away!

Although I get reasonably good results and have found no real skin irritation from using these and my face feels alot smoother after using them my face feels rather clammy in the inner feel of it and to the touch. Also skin feels a little too much toned and tightened for me which is a feeling I'm not keen on at all!

Verdict....

I don't hate them but I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase them either. Decent, robust wipes that do work if you try with them but me, I've used better than these and shall do again!
