Advantages: Nice cooling sensation....

Disadvantages: I still look like a very sleepy Panda!

I initially bought this after seeing the glossy advertisement on TV. I was sucked in after hearing that so many of these were sold every few seconds - I began to wonder what this magic little product was that everyone else seemed to be buying and why didn't I know about it!!!

I've always had bags under my eyes - even earning the nickname 'panda' on a few occasions and I always look just that little bit sleepy - so when I saw a Garnier Eye Roll On in my local supermarket - I fell for all the hype and bought one.

What is it?

This product is described as a 'handbag must have' the idea being that it is a cooling moisturiser in a roll-on format. It is enriched with caffeine and Pro-vitamin B5 and is supposed to hydrate, cool and refresh tired eyes. It is also supposed to reduce puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. The caffeine is supposed to stimulate the eye areas.

You simply apply the roll on applicator around the eye area gently massaging. A very thin, clear liquid comes out of the end of the roll-on when it is used. There is no actual scent to it - which is probably so it doesn't irritate the eye area.

Does it Work?

After several weeks of use, I can safely say NO!

It does provide a nice cooling sensation around the eyes and it does tingle for a bit when you apply it (which suggests there is some magic happening!). Also because of its compact size it is great for carrying round in a handbag.

However I am yet to see any noticeable benefits regarding dark circles and puffy eyes. They are both still there! Also you are supposed to be able to use this throughout the day. This only really works if you aren't wearing any other make up. As it's a liquid it can leave a trace when used whilst already wearing powder or foundation - so really is not practical for day to day wear - and can only feasibly be used first thing in the morning.

Is it worth it?

I would say definitely not! Fortunately when I purchased mine it was on special offer - however the normal price is in the £8 or £9 region which is very expensive - particularly for something that doesn't work very well!

Don't think this is the miracle cure that it has been advertised as - whilst it does provide a cooling effect - it doesn't do anything for puffy eyes or dark circles - and I certainly still don't have 'bright eyes'.

I still look like I need a good kip!

Summary: Not all its cracked up to be!

I agree with you on this - I paid full price for it and wish I had thought of reading reviews first. It does nothing!

I'd been wondering about this - almost bought it the other day, glad I didn't now!
