Advantages: NICE AND COLD ON THE SKIN
Disadvantages: IN MY OPINION A CON
GARNIER ROLLER BALL
Sounds like a game we play doesn't it? No it is supposed to reduce bags and dark circles under our eyes. The cost varies quite a lot but the cheapest I have see is about £6.60 on Ebay. You can buy it from Boots and most leading supermarkets.
I bought the Garnier eye roll-on after seeing it advertised on TV. This is product that is meant to reduce bags from around the eyes! Seeing is believing I thought. I could not wait to buy a tube, how exciting to think one could wake up in the morning and if you are like me it takes several hours for my face, let alone my eyes to come to life. Then like magic, we roll on this miracle little ball and - hey presto, no puffy eyes and no bags. Yeah, who is kidding who?
The tube is green and it is small enough to pop into your bag (a PLUS point). It has no specific smell and the consistency of the contents is like that of a light moisturising fluid. When applied you feel a slight tingling of the skin, and the metal ball is cold so this adds to the fresh feeling. I smile in the mirror and after I applied I waited, and waited, and waited, until - NO CHANGE.
Unfortunately I am allergic to nickel present in the metal roller ball, so I probably did not give it a thorough go; it did feel refreshing on the eyes, but allergy sufferers be careful. Even though I did not carry on using it daily I am not convinced this would work anyway. You would get more joy from a cold wet tea bag.
I thought the product very expensive and I also think they advertise the roller ball to work some kind of miracles. It really makes me laugh how there are so many products on the market and according to them - that really do work! What happened to trade descriptions act? Is there someone out there that can prove it works?
Garnier do however, present their products well and it does stand out on the shelf which is full of other beauty products. On a positive note I suppose Garnier do say 'Because you are worth it' on their TV advertisements, no sorry they don't that's L'Oreal. This slogan does encourage us ladies to try these things. It has yet to be scientifically proven that any creams actually reduce wrinkles, but we are all forever hopeful.
I have noticed over the years that applying any cream or lotion to the eye area generally bloats the skin, (causing the puffines). This is great for other areas of the face and neck, (plup it out a bit).
I assume the caffeine in the roller ball solution helps reduce the puffiness by working as I diuretic. I would think the danger here would be we end up with dry skin around the eye area, which would actually increase wrinkles, and make us look even more tired.
A good diet, plenty of water and fresh air are the best (in my opinion) for your skin.
Good luck with the product should you decide to give it a go.
Summary: ITS UP TO YOU!
