I would not recommend using it too regularly as it may not blend with your natural tones well, making it appear fake. I use it once every two days and really notice a difference. It mosturises well also. I suffer from dry skin and this helps make my skin feel smooth. Unless you are extremely fair skinned then I would suggest using the darker tone (medium/ dark) otherwise you will probably not see a result, though I realise ...more

Crowned Review Garnier Summerface 12hr Moisturising Cream: Nice glow but shame it stinks (546 words)

INTRODUCTION I have extremely pale skin so I sometimes use fake tan / daily moisturisers on my face and body to try and add some colour and glow to my pasty complexion. I have been using the body version of this moisturiser for about 3 months now and overall found it to be very good. So I decided to try the face version when it came out as you can't have a tanned body and a white face! The product promises to keep you skin moisturised for 12 hours, make it feel more 'supple, soft and velvety', and leave your skin 'looking beautifully sun-kissed'. If you apply it everyday it's meant to build a 'deep, even-looking tan'. PRICE AND ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Great subtle tan, shame about the smell (471 words)

I have never been a fan of tanning creams as they have a horrendous tendancy to leave me blotchy and streaky, but as the sun has shockingly decided to stick about recently, I thought it was time my pasty white face got some colour to match the weather. In the past I have simply used the body tanning creams on my face, but was always worried that it would block my pores, so, having always found Garnier products pretty good in the past, I decided to give this summerface moisturiser a go. **So what's it like?** Summerface comes in a 50ml bottle which costs £5.86 in boots, although Tesco currently have a half-price offer on which is what tempted me to buy ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Garnier Summerface 12hr Moisturising Cream: Summer Spotty! (822 words)

I bought the Garnier Summerface moisturiser after trying out their Summerskin body lotion, both of which are in the group of moisturisers with self tanner, designed to add a slower, more subtle fake tan than regular self tanners. I figured I should really put something on my face that was designed for it, as opposed to slapping on the body tanner which is what I (gasp horror!) normally do. I remember when self tanners first came out, and the subsequent introduction of separate self tanners for the face. I remember thinking it was a wee bit of a scam, I mean I do try to take care of my skin with regular moisturisers and whatnot, but what difference would it ...  Read the complete review

After having tried Garnier summerbody and finding it to be of pretty good quality, I decided to give 'summerface' a go. Its normally priced at £5.99 for 50ml in Boots but I bought it on an introductory offer in Tesco for about £2.49. Its a 'gradual' tanning face moisturizer that developes over 12 hours. It comes in two shades, one for light sun-kissed skin and another for medium sun-kissed skin. I bought the light one as I was nervous about using a tanning product on my face incase it went wrong. I thought that maybe I should I have chosen the darker one as the result was barely noticeable, but since reading other product reviews for the darker one its seems ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Garnier Summerface 12hr Moisturising Cream: Face it -its great (172 words)

I've been using this moisturiser for just over a week and I love it. It moisturises my face for 24 hours and doesn't leave you with that strange fake tan smell. Its a natural colour which is very subtle and builds gradually and feels really smooth and soft when absorbed. It cost £2.61 from Tesco for the light Tan colour. I only have one complaint with it and thats because it has no SPF factor unlike the Olay one I'd previously been using but I definately prefer the colour of this one. If you want to apply suncream to your face I'd leave it a few hours to dry or use this moisturiser the night before and put suncream on in the morning. You ...  Read the complete review
