Advantages: Lots of product for your money
Disadvantages: Didn't work on my wrinkles
I purchased this product from Boots when it first came out about 6-12 months ago.
It was about this time that I noticed that my smile lines had deepened and that the small wrinkle across my forehead had become more noticable, so I thought that it was about time I started to do something about it.
I already used the Garnier Ultralift day and night creams and had been quite impressed by them for a relatively low price range product, so I thought I would give this a try.
It is marketed as a deep wrinkle filler and the tube has an applicator nozzle which is apparently designed so that the cream can be applied directly into the wrinkle itself, allowing the cream to plump out and fill it, the end result being a much less noticeable wrinkle. The cream itself is targeted at your "A Zone" which is the part of the forehead between your eyebrows, leading diagnally to the outsides of your mouth, including the horizontal area under your eyes.
My first thoughts when applying this cream were that the special nozzle actually wasn't that special. It is no better at filling the wrinkle than if you dabbed some on with your finger. It may well be that my wrinkles are not that deep for the nozzle to go in, but if they were I doubt that this cream would be strong enough to fill that crater!
They suggest that you leave the cream lying on the wrinkle for about thirty seconds to allow it to set before dabbing the rest into your skin. This lead to a lot of laughing by my husband at the amount of strange white lines I had drawn on my face!
After dabbing in the excess, I can report that there was no difference whatsoever! I continued using the product daily in the hope that after a few weeks there would be some sort of improvement, but after using it for about 3 months I eventually gave up on it. Nothing had changed in the whole time I had been using it, apart from my husband getting bored of laughing at me when I applied it.
The tube contains 40ml of product and the price seems to range between £7-10. Obviously the more wrinkles you have, the more of the product you will get through, but personally I got bored of using it before I got anywhere near the halfway mark.
All in all this was a bit of a disappointment.
Summary: Not a product that worked for me
