~~~~Gillette Fusion Hydra Gel~~~~ Modern man I like to pamper myself, and like to try new products particular in the facials department. When I saw the Fusion range from Gillette I was immediately hooked and had to give it a go... I've tried the Fusion Razors which are impressive, not being a foam type of guy I thought that I would give the Shaving Gel a try. Packaged in a metallic orange tin it is immediately eye-catching as you trolley down the supermarket aisle. Equally eye-catching is the price, at £3.99 for 200ml it was 4 times more expensive than my normal supermarket brand. Happily I notice that it is available at Boots as I write ... A few months ago when I was in need of some razor blades I purchased the Gillette Fusion razor kit in ASDA, it was on special offer of £4......I think. In the kit came a 75ml canister of Gillette Hydro Gel. It is in an unmistakable aerosol, being that the words Gillette Fusion are emblazoned across the front of the very bright orange aerosol. Underneath this and in smaller lettering are the words Hydro Gel. So what is a hydro gel, well it is supposed to help stop moisture escape from the skin during the sometimes quite sensitive operation of shaving. Since I have neither the inclination nor the equipment to verify the claims, I'm going to be a nice ... Read the complete review
My husband is a wet shave kind of guy and always buys products from the Gillette series. For the past five months he has been using the Gillette Fusion Hydra Gel for sensitive skin a long with the Gillette Fusion razor. He has raved about it and the only complaint he had was the price, at £2.74 for 200ml it is the most expensive shaving gel on the market in the Gillette series. Taking him at his word I had never given the product a second thought, until last week when I went to the bathroom and opened the bathroom drawers to get my razor and shaving gel among other bits and found my tin was almost empty. After rooting a round in the bathroom drawers for what ... Read the complete review
This is a shaving foam that was brought out with the introduction of the M3 power range, which I believe is a clever marketing ploy as it makes you believe that if you buy the new razor, you should also buy the new style of shaving foam or gel to go with it, which obviosly is not the case. Im sure that the first thing that you will notice about this product is the price, I only get it when it is on offer and decide to stock up when usually Boots have a 2 for 1 offer which does make it good value. However, I regularly see this product for sale at between £3-4 which I believe to be a complete rip off, espicially as you see the older version of this for about ... Read the complete review
when I upgraded my mach 3 to a gillette fusion this was bundled with it as a special promotion. I had allways thought that shaving foam was shaving foam and until that point i had just used the tesco one. Now I have dry skin that is very sensitive and was supprised when after shaving i was left with no red blotches that happens after using the tesco one. I still need to moisturise after but this definatly helps.I did think it went very quickly though, for me it would all be gone after around a month. Its perfect for anyone who has dry or sensitive skin. Ive since tried this and the standard gillette one and they both have the same effect. Whilst it is more money than the ...
