Advantages: 5 blades, well constructed,trimmer on the back.

I can't understand why so many people are criticising this razor.

I recently wrote a review on the gillette sensor excel, and in my opinion it was the best around even better than the mach 3.

That was untill my wife went shopping and picked me up the wrong razor........she got me the Gillette fusion.

Well i thought this was another gimmick from gillette like the mach 3, the reason i think the the mach 3 is a gimmick is that it just does not compare to the sensor excel which is a 2 blade razor where as the mach 3 is a 3 blade, in my opinion they have chucked on another blade and say that is why it is better.......wrong, had they spent the same amount of time engineering the mach 3 as they did the sensor excel i am sure the mach 3 would be better. what i mean is the sensor has a perfect angle for the razor head and no razor burn what so ever, and it just felt a lot better constructed.

Anyway back to the Fusion, i just thought that they had done the same again.....put on a few more blades and expect it to shave better...........I was wrong, as soon as you hold it you can feel the quality and it looks fantastic, the Ferrari of razors, with 5 diamond cut blades...........WOW......this is the closest shave i have ever had, you can shave upwards or downwards with no friction or burn at all, the moisturising strip does its job superbly and if you turn the razor around there is a little blade at the top for trimming under the nose and sideburns accurately......genius.

So will i ever go back to my trusty sensor excel.......no way the fusion is just to good....the only downfall........the price of the blades are so expensive.....around £8 for 4......but they do last for around 6-8 shaves each which works out good value for money.

My advice......go on treat yourself you won't regret it.
