~ ~ I?ve been happily using a Gillette Mach 3 Razor for the past couple of years now, since I finally succumbed to the seductive and persuasive TV advertising which promises you the closest and smoothest shave of your life. My old Gillette Contour Plus (twin bladed) razor was relegated to the darkest reaches of the bathroom cabinet, as I discovered the unbridled joy of cutting away my facial bristles with three blades. ~ ~ OK. Maybe I?m being a tad effusive in my praise of the Mach 3, but in all honesty, it does actually live up to the claims the manufacturer makes for it fairly well, and ... Read the complete review

GILLETTE SENSITIVE SHAVING GEL As we all know, marketing companies will go to great lengths for their clients in order to make you spend more money or buy more of the product. Those wily females amongst you may have spotted that as well as with ladies' razors (the only difference other than price between these and men's razors being that the ladies' are coloured pink), ladies' shaving gel is extortionately priced. I wouldn't like to make a comment that might suggest it was the same product packaged differently as it might be libellous, so I won't! Having noticed this discrepancy in prices a men's gel would have to be tried. ... Read the complete review

I have been a avid user of Gillette Shaving products throughout the years starting with the Contour and currently using the Sensor. My first experience with the Blue II Plus was just a month ago when I made a one week trip to Ghana. Unfortunately or should I say fortunately I left my Sensor razor and foam at home and I had to purchase these whilst in Ghana. Naturally it was of no use to spend a fortune on purchasing a brand new Sensor so I went for the disposable type and picked up the Blue II Plus. I got a pack of 5 + 1 Free at a price equivalent to £1.50 which I found to be of exceptional value. These were dark blue in colour and ... Read the complete review

The dave27 consumer guide to bathroom products moves on apace as I turn my jaundiced eye once more upon that groaning bathroom cabinet and the sagging shelves therein to identify the next suitable subject upon which to pontificate, pronounce and another word beginning with p that I can’t quite place at pres… I was so impressed by the secret codes I found on a packet of Always Ultra sanitary towels written in French (see my recent op) that I thought I’d check out the next subject to see if there were any further earth shattering revelations and I was faced with a rare shock as my hand alighted ever so gently on a can of Gillette Shaving Foam. ... Well I have to say that as a woman Gillette Sensor Excel blades are great. I have tried every womans razor and disposable going (or it feels that way anyway) and this is the best shave I can get on my legs. My husband says he gets a really close shave too. Well I suppose for you blokes at least they are disposable blades which means that you can always just replace the used blade with a new one, but as I said you may not think this is a good thing. If you're looking for replacement blades for the sensor excel a great place to get them is Wilkinsons are they are under £3 compared to over £4 in many stores. ... Read the complete review
