Advantages: Long lasting close shave

I first tried Gillette Mach3 Razors about a year ago. I decided to try something different from my trusty Gillette Sensor and the fact that I have always found Gillette razors to be very good I thought I would be taken in by the advertising slogan of the new Mach 3! I am always shocked at the price of a decent razor but one thing I have found with Gillette razors is that they do last for quite a few shaves, so I was happy to give this new model a try. First impressions were that I found the three blade razor head difficult to get used to compared to the standard design of my previous razor. After a couple of minutes of shaving I managed to get a good technique which resulted in a very clean shave. I found it hard to remove the more stubborn hair on my chin because of the razors shape but eventually with persistence the result was a very clean shave that lasted about a day and a half. Sometimes I can shave in the morning and feel new growth when it is time for bed that day. However with the Mach 3 I am happy to report that the shave must be much closer because my face stayed smoother for longer. Overall I was very impressed with this razor and have continued to use this model over my Gillette Sensor which is now in the bin.
