THE BEST

As the adverts say Gillette is the best that a man can get. So far from what I have seen and felt this claim is true.

Gillette are famous for their range of bathroom products. They make the whole kit, razor blades, shaving foam, aftershave and so on. As a brand name they are very recognizable, though the name adds money. I have found them all to be great quality and toiletries that smell great. But this opinion is about their razor blades, in particular the Mach 3.

Shaving may not be the most fun activity to do. I am also relatively new to this game with my tender years and my complexion. Seriously I have only been shaving regularly for only a couple of years. Gillette was my first razor blade as I was attracted to the known brand. Since then I have not been loyal to them, and find them great for the best quality.

What sets out Mach 3 from others when it came out was the new blade technology. It has three separate blades all facing at an angle downwards. The idea is each blade comes in closer to your face, giving a closer and better shave for you. There is a protective cover over the blades to save your face. Safety is a big issue; even the most accident-prone could probable use this razor without cutting themselves seriously. That is how good it is, there is no risk of any main damage if you are saving right and it is sharp enough and well designed to give a close shave.

Gillette Mach 3 comes in two separate colours, though exactly the same design and style. I have got the ‘Cool Blue’ variety which this opinion about. It is a very nice colour blue all over the razor with black soft plastic grip. The original is just the same, with a silver colouring instead of blue. There is no real difference with them, down to personal preference. I like the blue, and it can save any confusion. There is no difference in price. Both look great, stylish and feel great on your hand, as well as the blade comfortab
le on your face.

The first Mach 3 razor comes with one spare blade in the pack. You can buy more packs to get a shaper shave once they start losing their edge at a reasonable price. So far I have not had to change the blade, though I have only had this for a couple of weeks. Changing between the blades is so easy, again pretty much anyone can do this. The back of the case has a storage place for the spare blades. To remove the first blade you push the razor into the spare slot and it automatically clicks out. To take out the new one push the handle into the other blade and it automatically clicks in. Simple really, it takes less time to do that I took to write those lines. The Mach 3 comes with a standing case for storage and space for spare blades. For the cool blue variety the case is the same nice shade of blue.

The price for a simple razor with an extra blades is about £4.49 as a typical value, though can be found for cheaper. You can buy extra blades in packs of four and eight that are about £4 and £6 respectively per pack. They are more expensive than a typical blade, and much costlier than the cheap disposable ones, but I would pay more every time. They are a better quality, safer and sharper and worth paying more for.

Overall an excellent buy and my recommendation.

This provides me with the best wet shave, I think the blades are worth the extra, they last longer and are superior to anyhting I have used before.
