Advantages: Efficiently placed and designed blades, rubberized grip, visual blade-change indication, only needs minimal stroke action

Disadvantages: Not being able to dye your facial hair white, overeating and becoming a red-suited celebrity in time for Xmas

I'm more of a dry shaver, but I like the experience of wet sometimes; and though my electric shaver does do a good job for me, I've found that doing a combi shave with the razor experience just upon my neck offers accuracy and a bit of extra time saved, surprisingly.

Myself and all my shaveable male friends have used Mach3 at some point, and still use it. The premise is that it's a revolution in wet shaving, and it is, so there's your trigger in wanting to give it a go.

It's recommended as you'd expect for use with Gillette brand accessories, and it helps being told when you're lazy at what to choose.

The razor (with option to change blades at visual indication (via a strip)/dulling action, of course) comes with a holder and a new-blade applicator etched to the underside of the holder. A rubberized black and silver grip finishes the body off.

The blades themselves are extremely easy to wash after a good rinse. The main gimmick, if you like, of Mach3 is the powerful and specially positioned blades which cut hairs really neatly in a single stroke. If like me you shave everyday then 1/2 strokes per area really is all that's needed. I use along with this Gillette's own shave gel and lotion (sensitive) and I find it great.

It's perfect particulary for the craggy neck area which can be easily irritated and takes time with a dry shave; also if you have hair around your adam's apple, then this is a god-send. Try dry shaving your face sometime and wet-shaving your neck; it may in writing sound laborious but on test it's not and you'll still get a good and shave and the best of both worlds; minimising irritation and hair and saving some time, including washing up, especially if you keep some facial hair.

I and everyone else who's used this recommends this over the ancient standard razors, but atleast here you have an insight from a combi shaver. I doubt it'll be
long before the ladies get similar blades for their use, if not already.
