Put your hand up if you are a man and hate shaving. Yep thought so - that was around 20 million of you!

Well, just spare a thought for me with my shaved head. Every day I get rid of the stubble not just on my chin, but all over my head too. What a pain - not physically, but just a hassle of having to do it. So after using all kinds of products over the years what is the best?

No problem - Gillette Mach 3, without question!

This is the relative new three blade razor with the lubricating strip that Gillette have as their ‘top of the range’. How does it perform? Well I suppose if you are in a rush to shave each morning you might get a few nicks, but I’ve found that with the Mach 3 that is minimised. Especially as I use the excellent King of Shaves sensitive shave gel to accompany it.

Even if you are in a rush – first wet your face (or head too in my case), preferably with warm water. Apply the gel (your preferred brand or my recommended one) and make sure your face is good and wet. Simply glide the Mach 3 over your stubble and it removes it effortlessly – far better than other razors, honest. It does not need endless going over your face to get that stubborn stubble we all have – just once over and you are smooth as a baby’s bottom.

And as for my head – can you imagine the problem of getting nicks on that? Oh yes that would look really good, going out of the house with grazes, nicks, bits of blood or lumps of tissue covering your scalp – mmmm yes, really cool.

So take my advice – forget the cheap and nasty razors, pay a touch more (around 80p a blade) and give your face a treat. There’s nothing better – unless you can invite Cameron Diaz around to kiss you all over !

My hubby swears by these razor blades but they are so expensive, but he says they are the best.
He does get a bit tetchy when I shave my legs with them, actually he gets quite stroppy about it.
