Advantages: Really works, packed with natural goodness

Disadvantages: Smells horrible, doesn't absorb too easy.

Described by Lush as a helpful, heavenly, herbal hand cream. I would agree with two of those statements, it's certainly helpful and herbal, but it's certainly not heavenly! Alot of people think it is but unfortunately I'm not one of them.

Now don't get me wrong, if you can put up with the overpowering smell, then this might just well be the hand cream for you, as it certainly does what it says on the tin, it's one of the most effective hand creams I have ever come across but each time I try and use it the smell makes me nauseous, I think it's to do with the Shea butter in it, but to me it just smells like like plastic....ick :(

On opening the tub you are greeted with a thick green cream and the strong herbally/shea butter smell. It has a gorgeous thick consitency to it, almost mousse like and just by the feel of it you almost know that it is going to be an effective cream and it is, it melts away dry patches with ease, although it doesn't absorb straight away, so perhaps it's best used at night.

I know that alot of people who are gardeners or who have manual jobs that really take it out on their hands, really find this a god send, and that people who have eczema on their knuckles (me being one of them) find that this can be put on without the usual stinging of alot of other handcreams and that it can clear it up within days. It really is a heavy duty hand cream with essential oils and rose water blended into it so that's it caring and not harsh on your skin, and for that I really loved it, but it's a shame they can't sort out the smell. If it smelt like Helping Hands (one of the other hand creams by Lush) then it would be a regular in my bag.

But, it seems that I am in the minority when it comes to the smell as most people seem to love it, some people even go as far as to say it smells "divine".

This retails at £6.40 and comes in a 100g tub, so it's not one of the cheapest hand creams by a long shot, but due to it's lovely mousse like consistency, you only need the tiniest bit and you're not wasting excess amounts by squeezing too much out as you do with a tube so I could see this actually lasting a really long time, although I don't know how long exactly as I gave mine away long before I got to the bottom of the tub!

Summary: Very effective hand cream, shame about the smell

Not tried this hand cream - think I will stick to Helping Hands! I walk my extremely cute (but also extremely strong!) dog a LOT and my hands would be nothing more than flaky dry skin (ewwww!!) without Lush hand creams! Fabulous review :D x
