Issey Miyake is a native of Japan, having been born in Hiroshima back in 1938. He gained exeperience of the fashion world duiring stints working and studying in Paris and New York. He then branched out on his own and set up the Miyake Design Studio in Tokyo in 1970. He announced his arrival on the fashion scene in 1973 when he introduced his "East meets West" theme to the world.

Now the after shave. I really like it. It has everything in it that I like in an aftershave, it is a heavy scent, one that definitely 'lingers' and is present all day long. A few squirts in the morning will last all day in the office.

The after shave was launched in 1993 and must surely still be one of the most popular scents around. The scent is suitable for both young and old alike. It seems to me to have an energetic smell, blending deep heavy scent that conjures up muscluar images. This is a woody scent that has the definitively powerful spicy notes. It has unmistakable smell of juniper, bergamot and lavender, and obvious undertones of of sandalwood, moss and cedar.

L'Eau d' Issey Pour Homme has become a benchmark of stylish elegance in the world of men's frgarances. It is very popular and once you give it a squirt it is clear why. I really like how the aftershave is balanced. I find it very evocative. The mixture of woody smells and citrus smells blended together remind me of dry summer evenings. The heavy spicy nose to the scent ties eveything together.

A 125 millilitre bottle costs approximately £40.00 and although it is on the more expensive side of aftershaves, it is well worth it.
