Advantages: Gently, refreshing, absorbs easily.

Disadvantages: slightly expensive

** Johnson & Johnson **

Well the Johnson brand has been going for well over 120 years. They have their fingers in an almighty amount of pots from bandages to babies' bubble bath! They are a household name and over the past few years have become a bit more of a popular brand due to never ending new product ranges.

** What Is Johnson's 24 Hour facial Moisturiser? **

Well, it is what it says it is really. A facial moisturiser which claims to keep your skin moisturised for 24 hours. It is aimed at normal and combination skin as it has added vitamins & minerals which balance out the PH of the skin. (Apparently!).
It also claims to easily absorb into the skin and be a great base for make up.

** So what is it like to use? **

The cream itself is quite firm and very smooth. It is white in colour but I am sure it has a tiny hint of pink in it. When smoothed into the face and neck it becomes clear and almost gel like. The first thing I noticed about this cream was how refreshing it felt on my skin. Similar to the feeling of splashing water over my face. A brilliant cream to use first thing in the morning. It smoothes on perfectly and spreads out very well, because of the wetness you don't need a lot, a small pea size amount in the T zones is fine (forehead, chin, cheeks etc) even then that may be too much. It sinks in very quickly, I would say within under a minute and it leaves no greasy or sticky residue. This is a big thing to me as I am so impatient and want to put my morning make up on ASAP to get to work on time. The last thing I need is to wait for 10 minutes before my face cream dries.
It definitely left my skin with an instant softness and refreshed feeling. Although it did leave a bit of a glow it didn't make my face shine so I didn't look like a grease ball. In terms of being a base for make up I have to agree it works pretty well. Although I think most make up goes on better to a moisturised face. As this cream absorbs so quickly and instantly revives the skin I think that is why it makes it a good base. It is also a brilliant cream to mix with foundation to make the make up a little lighter for the day time look.
The fragrance of Johnsons 24 hour face moisturiser is very light. If you remember the original Johnsons baby cream in the pink bottle) it is very similar to that, light, refreshing... a bit like sweet almonds. The scent doesn't linger but does smell very nice. Nothing strong, just how a gently face cream should smell.
This is such a basic cream it is hard to fault it, it kept my skin moisturised for a good few hours and this showed because my make up didn't dry out by lunch time, however I think 24 hours is stretching it a bit. This cream definitely woks better if you take the au natural look and just use the cream with no make up as the moisturised feel lasts longer.

** Price & Packaging**

The packaging is just as natural and simple as the cream inside. It is a glass 50ml pot with a baby pink screw on lid. You have access to the whole pot so no annoying leftovers at the bottom that you cant reach, you can use your toothpick to reach the very edges if you wish! It also comes in a small pink box which is just to help it store easier. The glass pot is very strong so don't worry about dropping in on the bathroom floor as its more then capable of taking a battering or two.
Now in terms of price I will be honest and say I only bought this originally because it was on offer in Sainsbury's for £1,49. I went to boots to buy a replacement today and it was £4.49!!!! So I didn't actually buy it as there are always good offers floating around. So in terms of price if you can get a deal on it then buy a trolley full as I wish I had done. But I don't think it is worth almost £5. It seems far too simple for that.

** Extra information **

There is one more version of this cream which is for Dry & Sensitive skin and included added Shea butter. I have yet to try it but if it is anything like this version then its worth a try! They also produce body cream and hand cream in the 24 hour range.

**Conclusion**

Although the price is a little on the expensive side if you by it full price it is a perfect, basic little cream. I also think it would be perfect for sensitive skin. Sometimes a face cream without the fancy brass bells on is all you need and this definitely works. No wonders, no 10 years younger promises. Just a simple, softening and refreshingly light day cream.
Thank you for reading.

Summary: A basic moisturiser that works well!
