Review of Johnson's 24 Hour Moisture Facial Moisturiser.
~~The Product~~
As the name implies, this review is about a 24 hour facial moisturiser from the well known company, Johnson & Johnson.
The product is presented in a pretty pink square shaped box. The Johnson's logo and the product name and description appear on the front, back and lid of the box, along with a pale green, feathery plant image. Ingredients, instructions for use and other information are printed on the base and sides of the packaging.
Inside the cardboard outer box, the product sits neatly beneath the lid, a round, solid looking glass pot with a pale pink plastic lid. The pot contains 50ml of the product which has a shelf life of 12 months, once opened. The outer packaging and the glass pot are of course, recyclable.
Johnson's claim that their 24 hour Moisture Facial Moisturiser will smooth the skin for an even complexion, mattify and balance skin to control shine and lock in moisture for 24 hours. The moisturiser is designed for normal and combination skin types and has been dermatologically tested.
~~Scent, Texture, Appearance and Usage~~
The pot is sealed for hygiene purposes with a silver foil inner lid. Removing the foil reveals the actual moisture cream. This is a white, fluffy, fairly thick cream, with a silky texture.
The product has a very pleasant scent, light and clean with an almondy top note and an almost soapy base note to the fragrance.
The moisturiser glides onto the skin and absorbs very easily, leaving no sticky residue. Johnson's advise users to apply daily to the face and neck, after cleansing. They also state that their 24 Hour facial moisturiser is an excellent base for make up.
24 Hour Moisturiser is produced in France for Johnson & Johnson.
The product is not aimed at any particular age range, so would suit almost anyone from young teens upwards.
I will not bore readers with a list of ingredients in this product. I am sure no one really wants to wade through a list of unpronounceable pharmaceutical ingredients!
~~Cost and Availability~~
Johnson & Johnson 24 Hour Facial moisturiser is widely available from supermarkets and High Street stores such as Boots and Superdrug.
The cost of this product is a modest £3.99 currently in Tesco. Naturally, prices may vary from shop to shop and it is always worth looking out for special offers, extra 'points' deals and so on!
~~The company~~
Johnson & Johnson have been in business for over 100 years. They are well known in both the toiletry and pharmaceutical industries and are a household name worldwide. Johnson & Johnson make many of our daily use products ranging from baby lotion to Cold sore remedies.

~~My Experience and Conclusion~~
I am a more mature user, being 51 years old. My skin care routine has been somewhat haphazard throughout my adult years, so consequently my facial skin is definitely showing signs of age, with some fine lines, a few heavy lines, age marks and dry areas. Added to this, I lead an outdoor lifestyle and have sensitive skin, so any moisturiser is going to have it's work cut out to improve my complexion!
I have to honest and admit that I did not actually buy this product, in case anyone wonders if I'm a thief or why I'm reviewing something I haven't bought, I'll explain that I was sent the product by a women's magazine to 'test drive' as part of the research for an upcoming article!
I have now been using Johnson's 24 hour facial moisturiser for just over two weeks and it is great! There is an improvement in the texture of my skin and although I don't really believe anything rubbed into the skin will reduce wrinkles, I think that they have faded a little due to the better overall condition of my skin. The moisturiser seems to be fairly long lasting, I've used around an eighth of the contents in a fortnight, which is pretty good in my opinion.
When I've finished my 'freebie' I will definitely be purchasing a replacement. It is rather refreshing to find a beauty product that does actually do what it promises to!
I would recommend this product to others, but suggest would-be buyers try a sample on their skin if at all possible, as the product is fragranced and this could irritate those with sensitive skin. That said, I have sensitive skin and it has not irritated me in the slightest..
Thank you for reading.
