Finding facial wipes that I like and suit my skin has always been a challenge for me. I must have the most sensitive skin ever and usually have to spend quite a bit on makeup wipes to make sure that they don't irritate my skin. I first saw Johnsons 3 in 1 wipes when on a shopping trip and from my first use I have never looked back.

What first attracted me to these wipes was the fact that they come in three different types, each made specifically for a certain type of skin. I bought the green pack as they claimed to be suitable for my combination skin, however you can also buy wipes for dry/sensitive skin (blue pack) or normal skin (pink pack). The combination skin wipes also claimed to be oil balancing which seemed perfect for me as I also suffer from oily skin.

The best thing about these wipes for me is that they are quick and easy to use and give you the three essential daily skin cleansing treatments in one easy wipe.

Makeup Removal: The first thing that these wipes are good for is taking all of your makeup off quickly and effectively. I often struggle with some of the cheaper brands of wipes as they never seem to be moist enough to take of all of my makeup, meaning that I have to use more than one at a time.

Johnsons 3 in 1 are very different however and I even cut the wipes in half to make them last longer as even half a wipe is enough to remove all of my foundation and eye makeup. The wipes are also very gentle for the eyes, removing even waterproof mascara without stinging.

Cleansing: The wipes are also good for general cleansing and I still use them on days when I don't wear any makeup. Since I started using these wipes I have found that the condition of my skin has really improved and is now much calmer and less irritated than before. I was a little bit worried as the wipes intended to be used on combination skin did not claim to be suitable for sensitive skin, which I also suffer from, however the wipes definitely didn't irritate my skin.

The one thing that I didn't like about using these wipes to cleanse was the smell that they left on my skin. Because the wipes have a lot of moisture in them they left a really strong smell on my skin and must smell like alcohol as my mum asked me if I'd been drinking one time after I'd used them!

Toning: Another bonus of the wipes is that they also tone your skin, which is great after a night out when you simply don't have the energy to do anything other than wipe your face over with a single wipe.

If I have more time, however I like to use toner as well as the wipe, as my skin feels even better after using both products and in my opinion you can't gain the same effects from a wipe as you can from a good quality toner.

Price and availability:
When these wipes first came out they were available in many different stores. Now however, although the pink and blue packs seem to be everywhere, I sometimes find that the green packs are harder to come by.

If you do have trouble finding them in the stores they can be purchased online at www.boots.com where they cost £2.93 which in my opinion is good value considering the quality of the product. They are also often 'buy one get one free' in some shops so I try to buy them when they are on offer to get even more value for my money.


Overall there are no real disadvantages to this product although I personally don't find the smell of them particularly appealing. The good results of this product outweigh this however and I would really recommend them for their ease of use and effectiveness.
