... & appears to have a good few applications left although I've used it quite generously to date. I'd expected this to be a similar consistency to lip salves or a gel/jelly but in fact it's a white cream which you apply to the lips at night & just leave to work.... I wasn't too keen on the smell (or taste) of it because it's really sweet & not too pleasant & it 'sat' on the top of my lips & there was a tingling sensation for a few minutes after I'd applied it. However, next morning there was no t...more

Premium Review Johnson's Lipcare Moon Care Intensive Balm: don't get Lippy with me! (407 words)

I wouldn't normally go for anything like this but having been ill for most of the summer & having cracked, dry lips I couldn't resist trying this Lipcare from the Johnson's Moon Care range. It was on offer at our local chemist for £1.10 (instead of the normal RRP of around £1.40) & the helpful asistant (blonde & beautiful!) raved about it so what could I do but buy? It's as shown in the picture & has the famous Johnson's logo & the lipcare is in the famous pink -with- blue packaging in a squidgy tube which is easy enough to use. It has a shelf life of 12 months once opened & appears to have a good few applications left although I've ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review No werewolves were harmed in the making of this lip balm (534 words)

Every winter, my lips let me down. As soon as the first cold hits, they become sore and chapped, and no amount of lipbalm, Blisteeze or begging will soothe them to smooth again. So when I saw MoonCare on the shelves I was skeptical (a lip mask? That you can only wear at night? Why - does it need to be kept dark, or do the stars have some mystical effect on it?! Come on!), but desperate. Moon Care claims to work like a mask overnight, to help improve the condition of dry lips and make them "soft and supple again". That night, slathering on a layer, my first finding was that it does feel more substantial than plain old lipbalm. It's thicker, stickier, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Johnson's Lipcare Moon Care Intensive Balm: Did not work for me. (676 words)

Johnson's are well known for their baby care range. So when I had chapped lips and I was stood in my local Sainsbury's, trying to work out which lip care treatment was best, I decided to take up the special offer on this cream. At a "special" price, I paid 89p, I have seen it still being sold in places elsewhere at full price, and also in gift sets which are at full price. It normally retails at around £1.50 upwards. The treatment is named "moon care" and is devised to put on at night. Its aim is to repair your chapped lips to their full pout for the next morning. It states on the tube: "Protection and Care for naturally ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review i didnt realise a lip balm could dry your lips out! (299 words)

This intensive balm claims if you leave it on overnight when you wake up they are meant to be left very soft as it works as an intensive mask. I know that Johnsons are respected for all their baby products and i use their wipes and a few creams so I thought id give it a go. Its from the moon care range. I applied the balm before I went to bed and the first thing i noticed was how bad it tasted, it was almost tasted like the stuff you put on your nails to stop you biting them, it really is a disgusting taste! The balm itself is in a 15 ml tube with a round applicator. Its a very thick balm and when you put it on your lips it ...  Read the complete review
