King of Shaves Formula Alpha Shaving Oil

I think somewhere along the line I was supposed to drop the student image, but three years on I still look for the bargains in the supermarket and still go for the freebies online. This is a UK company who started out by mainly selling their products online. The first way I had heard of these was nearly a year ago now when I got some freebies off them. Some lovely free samples to try and impress us with their products. Since then though I have noticed their products starting to get into my local shops ie, Wilkinson's . Two out of three of the reviews on this product just about dismissed it as being pretty well useless. Now I know opinion on anything is very much subjective; one man's meat is another man's poison. After years of using King of Shaves shaving oil, I am thoughly delighted with the product; they have positively raised my game. The original KoS oil, the only product they had way back when I became a user, didn't have any menthol. I like the mentholated version, it not that in improves the shaving, it's just gives a nice fresh feel to the skin and a fresh fragrance when in use. The other reviewer here seemed to have had such a bad experience with this product that I felt I had to offer a counter-view. I have used the King of Shaves Alpha Oil for several years and it is a perfectly adequate product. In fact it is better than that - it is a fine product. It sound as if the other reviewer used far, far too much. When the instructions say a few drops then they really do mean that. Also it is possible that the reviewer did not wash the beard area first as this is important in letting the hair shafts soften in the water. I much prefer to use some detergent wash for this rather than soap as soap can lead to a bit of unwanted razor clog. ...  Read the complete review
