King of Shaves produce an extensive range of products aimed at improving the shaving experience for both men and ladies. Their products fall into three main categories, face wash gels to cleanse the skin and soften the beard in preparation , shaving oils and gels to lubricate the skin and prepare the stubble and after shave lotions to soothe, protect and moisturise. Last year they introduced the Azor Hybrid Razor which could be counted as a forth category but as King of Shaves in their own terminology describe their razors as shaving hardware and the range of preparations to aid shaving as software, therefore I am treating them separately.

What role does this K-XF Exfoliating Facial Scrub have? Well, it falls nicely into that first stage of the shaving process in actively preparing your skin for shaving. Most people would not need to use this scrub every day, personally I use it once or twice a week but, if you have dry flaky skin or blocked pores you might benefit from more frequent application. Thoroughly wet your face, squeeze a blob of this into your hand and wash your face; the little gritty bits give it an abrasive action on your skin, leaving it feeling fresh and clean. I find if I given the shaving a miss for a couple of days my beard needs the extra attention just to soften it ready for easy removal with my trusty razor.

A tip; You might find after shaving that your skin appreciates an aftershave application of moisturiser and King of Shaves K-24 Active Men's Moisturiser will do the trick. A big plus after all this attention is the great feeling it gives you!
