I went to www.shave.com a few weeks ago to see what all this fuss was about to do with the King of Shaves' product range. Much to my surprise, they offered a free sample of their two main products, one being their shaving gel.

The website said that only a small amount of this gel(in comparison to a bug handful of shaving foam) is enough to have a comfortable, close shave. Well, I thought that it sounded great.

When the free sample dropped through my mail box a few days later, I gave it a try. I squeezed a small amount on to the palm of my hand and massaged it in to my beard, as the instructions said. It felt like OK, there wasn't a thick mass of foam, just a thin layer of foam-like stuff.

I was a bit apprehensive because there wasn't much foam, I didn't want to cut my face to shreads. I took my razor and gave it a try. Much to my amazment, the shave was smooth and very comfortable.

From that day on, my traditional shaving foam has been standing alone in my bathroom cabinet. I went to my local supermarket and found the King of Shaves Shaving Gel there, it's much easier buying products like this off the shelf. (I know that Safeway and Tescos stock the KIng of Shaves products, im not sure about any others).
