Advantages: Amazingly refreshing, nice to use, amazing results with no razor burn

Disadvantages: Reasonably pricy compared to the competition, then again you only get what you pay for...

Wow!What can I say!I decided to buy this gel yesterday in Boots. I had previously tried the free sample sent to me by King of Shaves via the website. The sample was for the unmentholated Alphagel, which I found minty enough and very easy and nice to use.I made the bold step of buying the mentholated one yesterday, and after applying the oil I decided to apply some of this. The effect was like that of having a small pygmy appear next to me in the bath, pull out a large raw kipper and proceed to slap me round the face ten times with it before throwing me out into the cold. Believe me it is that refreshing to use.

The gel comes in a tube priced at about £3.50 for 175ml which isn't bad considering how little is used. The gel is a greeny colour with little beads visible in it.These beads supposedly release moisturising agents as you shave. The smell is quite something and is probably due to the large amount of tea tree, mint and eucalyptus oil present.

Directions For Use
------------------

Firstly wash your face, then apply shaving oil if you wish (I find this produces better results). Then squeeze a small amount of the gel onto your hands and rub it into the area to be shaved. This stuff doesn't lather up so it is easy to see where to shave.Afterwards pat the face dry with a towel.

Active Ingredients
------------------

Amongst other things this contains: Aloe Barbadensis leaf juice (for moisturisation and razor burn), Glycerin (to soften and moisturise the skin), menthol (a major refreshment hit!), grape seed extract (to protect and moisturise), acacia extract (?), eucalyptus leaf oil (refreshment hit part 2), tea tree oil (antiseptic and cleanser), spearmint oil (refreshment hit part 3!) and camphor.

What this all adds up to is a refreshing gel which has some nice natural ingredients to tone/cleanse the skin, prevent razor burn and leave the face feeling refreshed. The Results? Well after using t
his with a combination of the Mach 3 and alpha shaving oil,I felt like somebody had given me a new face. I felt refreshed and the shave was very close; even around the neck area (I normally find this very hard to get a close shave in this area). My skin felt refreshed, clean and I had no razor burn or dryness. I thoroughly recommend this product,it has to be tried to be believed. They are bringing out a womens range soon, which I'm sure my girlfriend would be interested in....
