I originally used the mens product as they never used to do the womens line, well if they did I couldn't find it so I was delighted to discover thay had ventured into womens shaving products. There is a variety of different scents and types of oils for sensitive skin. Costing around £4-5 and lasting a good few months this product is really a ...more

Crowned Review King of Shaves Shaving Oil: Don't make a rash decision over shaving (567 words)
by - written on 19/09/02 (Very useful, 510 readings)
Rating:

Its been 24 hours since I shaved using King of Shaves Kinexium advanced shaving oil and I am as smooth now one day later than if I had just shaved using my usual Gillette foam. In fact I am not even going to bother shaving today. After inspecting the path left behind from the first stroke of my razor the difference was amazing. Normally I can still see the minute little black dots of each whisker that haven't quite been shaved close enough but this time nothing to see but smooth skin, a shave that could not be any closer and the blade just glides across the skin with consummate ease. This is an outstanding product and I cannot ever see myself using anything else. ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review It changed my life! (380 words)

Okay, okay.. it's a completely wild claim for a product, perhaps more suited in those little ads you find in the back pages of the Sunday papers. But, King of Shaves Kinexium Shaving Oil for Sensitive Skin HAS changed my life. For about 17 years now I have been a long sufferer of sensitive skin when shaving. I have tried just about every razor, every shaving foam and gel there is. Even tried one of those Protector blades... absolutely shredded my face!! More recently I gave up on wet shaving and went for an expensive electric razor, with all the bells and whistles. It's good for when I am in a hurry, but still leaves me with awful razor burn. I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review King of Shaves Shaving Oil: Want a face as smooth as my girlfriends bum? (1101 words)
by - written on 23/07/01 (Very useful, 244 readings)

Poor blokes, we have to shave every day. Well actually in my case that’s not true, I just used to go round quite happily with 4 day’s worth of facial growth attached to me. I didn’t really mind meself, afterall, I can’t see it and I don’t get on with mirrors all that well, so don’t tend to look in them if I can help it. The only trouble was, I had a face that felt a bit like that fake grass green grocers have that you can’t help but touch. No, my hair isn’t that thick, but you do get the general idea…I hope. So, it got to a stage where my girlfriend wouldn’t let me near her. Oh dear, time to go shave ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Smooooooth as they come (140 words)

The KING OF SHAVES ALPHAGEL DDS SHAVE GEL - is quite simply the best gel around. I've used King of Shaves oil in the past, but despite giving a smooth shave, the oil collects the beard and clogs the blades rather. With this gel you get the very best of both worlds - a low foaming gel, reducing friction on your skin and gliding the blade smoothly and the King of Shaves oil in the gel ensuring a safe shave. It really is good and with the Gillette Mach 3 razor and blade I use - it ensures I get a close, safe, smooth shave each day. And as well as having to shave my beard each day - I have my bald head to keep smooth too - and it does the job - perfectly. Smooth ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review King of Shaves Shaving Oil: Oil Slick (577 words)
by - written on 12/03/01 (Very useful, 120 readings)

I had first heard of the King of Shaves range a few years ago.In those days I failed to see the point of forking out for anything radical for use with shaving, and this seemed expensive for what it was.£3.75 for 15mls of oil,Pah!how good could it be? This changed somewhat when my girlfriend went to their website and asked me if I wanted some free samples from them.Being as it was free,I thought "what the hell, what have I got to lose" and decided to see how good it really was.The problem (and my scepticism) came from the fact that I had tried Boots own shaving oil a couple of years ago,and this was about as effective as glueing a hedgehog on your face ...  Read the complete review
