Advantages: Very good moisturising serum, velvety texture, very good price, full of active ingredients

Disadvantages: You may not like the smell, the pump lets a bit of the product unused

About the product:

Lacura is a cosmetic range sold in ALDI supermarkets. This product is a white thin lotion ("light cream gel") in a clear glass long bottle with a white pump. The lettering is silver and light blue. It is labelled by the company as follows:
Lacura Face Care / Multi-intensive Serum / with Marine Extracts and Shea butter / Long term moisturising effect / Aqua Complete / For all skin types.

It normally retails around £4 for 50ml but I found it on ebay for as much as £14.99!

It contains the usual preservatives and other chemicals used by all the non-strictly-go-natural cosmetic companies, as well as:

* Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil = with high content of palmitoleic acid, macadamia nut oil is an effective anti-oxidant and protects the skin just like human sebum does.
*Butyrospermum parkii butter = Karité, Shea or Shea nut butter. It is widely used in cosmetics as a moisturiser and an emollient but it is also edible.
* Chlorella vulgaris exctract = a type of algae that prevents the breakdown of collagens and elastin, is an excellent firming active ingredient, protects human skin cells against ageing induced by free radicals, improves skin problems such as psoriasis, rosacea and superficial varicosities (for more info see: http://www.personalcaremagazine.com/Story.aspx?Sto ry=3080).
* Tocopheryl acetate = form of less acidic vitamin E
* Tocopherol = vit. E
* Maris aqua = sea water
* Panthenol = the provitamin of B5. In cosmetics, it is a humectant, emollient and moisturiser
* urea = skin softener
* allantoin = a healing, moisturising, soothing and anti-irritating, keratolytic and non-toxic agent. It has a pronounced keratolytic and skin softening action, acts as chemical debrider of necrotic and scaling tissue, cleansing up the areas where applied.
* Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides Citrate = Modified palm kernel fat, used to give consistency. Has lightly emulsifying properties.
* Sodium hyaluronate, or Hyaluronic acid (HA) = kind of polysaccharides, the key water maintaining substances in human skin. When HA solution is applied on the surface of skin, it can form an air permeable layer and keep the skin moist and smooth. It also promotes skin blood micro-circulation and nutrient absorption and maintains normal metabolism. As a result, it plays a role of wrinkle removing, look improving and health protecting. Use: 2 months
Application: twice daily, on face and neck after cleansing

Results: It has a nice smell and a soft velvety texture. It is absorbed quickly and doesn't cause irritations. Also, it delivers what it promises: it provides very good moisturising and it can be used with or without additional creams, esp. by younger women. Very good base for make up.
