Personally I do not like the smell and prefer a product which is fairly odourless. The Cleanse and Polish does not have this strong smell of lavender. I think that it is a disappointing buy at £7.50 for 50ml. I am going to go back to my old favourite, Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream - I have yet to find anything to beat it. Premium Review Liz Earle Hand Repair: Hand Repair - a new launch that disappoints (107 words)

As a Liz Earle fan I was looking forward to trying this new launch - but was very disappointed. The cream looks, smells and feels lovely. It has a nice light consistency and scent. But it doesn't actually moisturise. On fact, after using it for a few days my hands were dryer than ever. The reason, I believe, is that it contains a high quantity of talc. That will make it feel nice and non-greasy when it is applied - as, indeed it does. Talc, however, is renowned for its moisture absorbing properties, so its inclusion in the product in this way is probably what causes the problem. ...

I had to write and tell you all about this excellent hand cream that I use! I love Liz Earle products (as you may already know from reading some of my other ops). They are wonderful, smell nice, use great ingredients and (shock horror!) do what they are supposed to do! The hand repair was launched around 18 months ago and having very dry skin on my hands I just had to try it. My hands used to look older than my age, dry and cracked. Having used many of the products in the Liz Earle range and loving them I had high hopes for this product. The cream comes in a lovely blue/grey tube. It is a very simple design and not overly femine, so men could ...

I have recently decided to try the Liz Earle range due to recommendations by friends. Like most people I am now a fan of the Cleanse and Polish - however I am disappointed in the Hand Repair Cream. The product does not rub in well and leaves a coating on your hands (the skin on my hands is dry) which needs to be wiped off. I have also been left with white marks on dark clothing when I have used this product. It does not seem to moisturise my nail area at all and is pretty ineffective on my hands. Personally I do not like the smell and prefer a product which is fairly odourless. The Cleanse and Polish does not have this strong smell of lavender. ...
